Weekend Hot! or Hmm… Solange Knowles, Gabrielle Union, Naomi Campbell, and More!
By Faith

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I’m still recovering from Made in America: Calvin Harris, Beyoncé, and Phoenix killed it!

This weekend, a slew of stars hit the music concert, while others took in the long weekend at parties and traveling to and fro.

Check out some of the weekend’s most noteworthy ensembles:

Though I didn’t catch Solange Knowles’s Made in America Festival set, I knew the fashionable songstress would opt for prints for the occasion. She loves Kenzo and thus wore a lively top and skirt from the brand’s Resort 2014 offerings. Cute!

Gabrielle Union was a vision in white and gold at the 70th Annual Venice International Film Festival.

Queen Mother Naomi Campbell made the girls and boys green with envy at the Rush World Premiere in London in a cutout LBD and Azzedine Alaïa sandals. Perfection.

It was all about prints and accessories for Estelle as she took in the US Open.

It was an all-white affair at The Reed For Hope Foundation’s 11th Annual Sunshine Beyond Summer Celebration. Mommy-to-be Eva Marcille opted for a cutout maxi dress. Pretty!

Also at the celebration was Shaun Robinson in a one-shoulder mini dress.

More Made in America festival fashion! Kat Graham went bold in a full-on Buddhist Punk ensemble. Cool ‘fit, but I’m not feeling her hair here. Hmm…

Victoria Beckham is in the Big Apple for Fashion Week! The stylish mom traipsed through JFK airport with her adorable daughter in tow in a $1,223 Burberry Heart Print Silk Shirt. Hot!

Though Fall hasn’t yet touched down, Diane Kruger ushered the season in at Jaeger LeCoultre’s 180th Anniversary Gala Dinner in Venice. The actress slipped into a purple velvet gown from Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2013 collection. Hmm…this is quite overwhelming for her petite frame no?

Along with Naomi Campbell, Olivia Wilde was also spotted at the Rush premiere. She was the definition of the phrase “simple and chic” in head-to-toe Gucci. Work Olivia!

Rihanna’s Fall 2013 assortment for River Island is starting to gain celeb traction! Ellie Goulding wore the G4Life Cropped Sweater while making an appearance at Kiss FM Studios in London. She finished her ensemble with $49 Coincidence & Chance Textured High Rise Pinup Shorts. I like it!

Last, but not least was Dakota Fanning who outfitted herself in an Alexander McQueen Resort 2014 frock at the photocall for her film, Night Moves, at the 70th Annual Venice International Film Festival.

That’s all folks! Whose weekend look caught your eye?

well Wllie Goulding goes to prove that everyone should steer clear of the river collaboration.

I don’t like that g4life on that woman but the shorts and shoes are nice.

  3. A.Buttafly says:

Solange is the only black women in the “business” who is courageous enough to wear her naturally. Love.

  4. JT says:

Dear A. Buttafly please get over your god-complex because you don’t know what a black woman’s natural hair is???? black women are the most unique and diverse women on the planet. News Flash! some have straight hair, curly hair, wavy hair, long hair, short hair etc. Solange is beautiful no matter what kind of hair she has, doesn’t make her less black to have straight hair! Unless you’ve personally been hired to style Solange’s hair what the hell do you know!

Naomi and Gabrielle look incredible and I don’t think A. Buttafly can take credit for that either. Learn about black history and you will realize the beauty in our diversity. We come in almost all shades of skin tones and hair types. Kinky or bone straight she’s still representing black people!

    @ JT

…um relax. I think A Buttafly was just referencing the fact that many woman of African descent in America use chemicals to straighten their hair (or to make their hair more straight), and that straighter hair is wrongfully considered more beatiful on black women. What i understood from her comment was that its refreshing to see Solange wear her hair in a way that some women are not brave enough to do.
