Lee Daniels’s The Butler Premiere was apparently the place to be last night in New York, as several celebs hit the red carpet at Ziegfeld Theater to show support for the filmmaker’s latest flick.
From Lady O to Mariah Carey, the occasion was nothing less than star studded. Take a look at who showed up and who wore what:
Tika Sumpter was the lady in red in a knee length Alberta Ferretti dress and white Christian Louboutin pumps. Not the most flattering frock we’ve seen on the starlet and the shoes are a miss, though her makeup is consistently flawless.
Mimi always keeps it cute, even with a dislocated shoulder! The crooner hit the carpet with her husband Nick Cannon in a studded arm sling, LBD, and Valentino Lace Bow D’orsay Pumps.
A black dress was also the call for Keisha Whitaker, who posed with hubby Forrest in a Badgley Mischka creation. So elegant, no?
Oprah brought long time companion Stedman Graham as her date, and blessed the children with voluminous curls, a sparkling custom salmon crunchy sequin Theia dress, and a matching Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Satin/Snakeskin Knot Clutch. I’m here for every little bit of this. She looks great!
It was a night for couples! Yaya Alafia and Joshua Bee Alafia were in the building, with Yaya showing off her burgeoning baby bump in a strapless lace dress.
Fantasia Barrino flashed her abdomen in a crop top, Zara gold pencil skirt, and Jimmy Choo Anouk Animal Print Metallic pumps. Hmmm…what do you think?
Jesse Williams looked dreamy in a satin lapel suit and printed bow tie. Hot!
Hottie James Marsden was also in the house, and posed for the paps in a slightly unbuttoned checked shirt and expertly tailored two piece.
Terrence Howard brought his daughter Heaven to the festivities.
Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman looked resplendent in a white and gold embellished cocktail from her brand.
Gayle King and Kirby Bumpus coordinated in orange and pink cocktails. Love it!
Minka Kelly stole the show in a printed Sophie Theallet maxi dress, accessorized by Brian Atwood pumps and Irene Neuwirth jewelry.
Lenny Kravitz escorted Cicely Tyson to the fun occasion. Cicely looked regal in a floral print wrap dress and Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps, while Lenny embodied rocker chic in a re-imagined tux and spiked boots. Yes!
And lastly, the man of the hour, Lee Daniels, kept his look casual, sidling up to a simple black blazer, black button down, and jeans.
And there you have it!
Who do you think was best dressed?
