Happy Tuesday Bombshells! The Memorial Day Weekend has passed and I’m sure we are all struggling to recuperate from the shenanigans we found ourselves in over the long weekend.
To start off the short work week, I’m taking care of a couple “What to Wear” requests for two ladies who will be celebrating with loved ones tying the knot this summer.
Our first reader Myesha writes, “I know you’ve done it many times before but I am desperate to find a dress for my brother in laws wedding coming up…I want to look sexy and sophisticated and it will be hot, but I hate having my arms and back out. I love my curves and want to celebrate them without overdoing it…Can you help me please? Thank you.”
For your first option I went for a dress in a summer-inspired hue with a Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Toga Drape Jersey Dress paired with Brain Atwood Uma Sandal, and a silver satin evening clutch.
Accessorize with a pair of Kate Spade New York Fragment Pearl Stud Earrings and a vintage faux silver sapphire bracelet. To complete this fun and sophisticated look, opt for a smoky purple eyeshadow option and a full set of lashes as the final touch.
For option #2, I wanted to create a classy look and give you the option to show off your arms in a silver Karen Millen Signature Stretch Satin Pencil Dress with a beaded black shawl. To add a little detail, I opted for a pair of B Brian Atwood Labrea Hologram Snake Sandals and a Karen Millen Painterly Floral box clutch.
For an additional touch of glamour, work in a few dazzling accessories with a pair of Baublebar Silver Ice Rose earrings and a Baublebar Ice Pavé Disco necklace. Lastly, create a smoldering makeup look with a shimmery eyeshadow option and a deep berry lip for the finishing touch.
Jen will also be attending a few weddings this summer, and writes, “The summer wedding season is upcoming and I have 2 weddings to attend. Can you please update the “What to Wear” section with new dress selections. Thanks!”
Well Jen, I wanted to cover all of my bases for your wardrobe options so I created three looks fit for any type of ceremony you might attend this summer.
Add in a few shimmery pieces including a pair of Kenneth Jay Lane gold-plated Swarovski crystal clip earrings and a ZARA combination pearl necklace. Finish the look with a lash-defining mascara and a perfect mani in a deep shade.
Floral prints are the perfect print option for a summer wedding, so for look #2 I styled this Stella McCartney ‘Fletcher’ floral jacquard bustier dress with a pair of Christian Louboutin Duvette pumps, and a nude Lulu Townsend Flower Snap box clutch.
To add in a few gold tones, I opted for a pair of Swavorski crystallized imperial long earrings, a Baublebar Pearl Kempner bracelet, and a shimmery nude lid as the finishing accents to this floral option.
For the final look fit for a day wedding, I went for simple and feminine with a French Connection Forever Draped dress, uplifted by a pair of Aldo Buito sandals, and a stylish nude and gold-chain clutch.
Amp up this look with a pair of statement earrings and a vintage multi-strand pearl bracelet. A shimmery pink eyeshadow, a pearly pink mani, and a soft pink pout will be the finishing touches to this flirty look.
And that will do it for your summer wedding options. Which look works best for you?
