Page Six says The View‘s producers are planning on taking is slow with regards to finding a replacement. Personally, I think Naomi Campbell would be a great choice from the show– she’d lay down the law! What do you think? Do you like Brinkley for the position, or do you have another favorite in mind? I will wait til Angela’s actual product is out and I can actually see it.
Christie or Ali would be good to replace Elizabeth. I didnt realize the view had been on the air this long. I miss the old crew though. Lisa Ling, Meredith and all that jazz.
I wouldnt be surprised if he wore spandx. I mean the make it for men. Its just like under armor clothes basically when you really think about it.
March 18, 2013 12:02 pm
she gives me a case of the ‘Sanaa Lathans’ every. single. time.
so damn boring. :-(
March 18, 2013 12:05 pm
Why couldn’t Angela just do a capsule collection. There is nothing new there. Not as far as I could tell at least…
March 18, 2013 12:12 pm
my favorite part of that Beyoncé pic…is remembering the story that Solange in a rage destroyed all of those trophies to get attention from her parents as well as announce Beyoncé is NOT all that.
supposedly, she left the room in shambles and copped to her parents that she did with her chin in the air.
true story. lol :-D
March 18, 2013 12:13 pm
I’m on the fence with Angela…
and that beYAWNce track is garbage! I have nothing else…
March 18, 2013 12:15 pm
Angela – another clothes designer? Hey, whatev, she is doing her thing but my goodness.
Beyonce – Different, but I like…fun song, great from my running playlist. I like the chopped and screwed. What’s life without trying new things, interesting to see what else she is going to come out with.
Brad – kisses! We all get older luv.
Christie – she has certainly aged gracefully. I know the idea is that many white women age harder than women of colour, but women like Christie, Michelle Phifer, Meryl , Anjelica Huston, Sophia Loren, Kim Catrell, Bette Midler, Kim Basinger, Sharon Stone, Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis all prove that any woman can age gracefully.
Jellys – how are they coming back in style!! :(
March 18, 2013 12:17 pm
I am not feeling Beyonce’s song at all.
March 18, 2013 12:33 pm
Beyonce’s song is wierd like she got possessed by a demon towards the end after beggin us “bitches” to bow down.. ok “queen B”
March 18, 2013 12:39 pm
It looks like Angela just took styles that are already available in stores and put her name on it#celebritydesigner
And is Beyonce’s single a joke, what was that about.
March 18, 2013 12:46 pm
I think Angela’s line will do well. She seems very driven.
Beyonce – I thought she was all about women empowerment. This is a shame.
March 18, 2013 12:49 pm
Actually, I LOVE Beyonce’s new song…maybe because I’m an arrogant leo. LMAO. It’s definitely not “her” though. Seems like some “persona” she’s trying to create. Never been a Beyonce stan but I’ve always liked that she carried herself with dignity and class – this song might actually be a hit to her brand.
She’s def not “about that life”. I guess she can join Rihanna in the “loud as a motor bike, wouldn’t bust a grape in a fruit fight” club.
Rihanna is prolly freaking out tryna re-invent herself now that Beyonce is going for the “ratchet” gimmick. LMAO!!
Even the single cover is arrogant as hell and I LOVE ALL OF IT!
March 18, 2013 12:51 pm
Angela’s line looks nice, but I’ll see what actually makes it into stores. However, the line does look similar to The Row. I like Bey’s new track until the chopped and screwed part. That went on for way too long for my liking. It should have gotten back to the original beat.
March 18, 2013 1:06 pm
All hail the King!!!
March 18, 2013 1:13 pm
the 1st song was meh + lil’ waynesque
the 2nd had a funky beat & nice opratic vocals but i just don’t see the point of making this kind of music at this point in her career.
it’s borderline wack. jussayin. :-(
March 18, 2013 1:24 pm
For you to be stan, you don’t seem to know much about your queen. This is not a single, just a song she released on her website. No record label would green light that trash. I like Angela’s ambition but that was boring.
March 18, 2013 1:30 pm
cute collection from Angela….I like the Beyonce track but I seriously doubt it is a single, I think it’s more of a buzz track but I think some people are taking music way tooooooo serious…enjoy music for what it is but I do NOT want to hear an entire album of ratchet music,,,no ma’am!!
March 18, 2013 1:32 pm
Another celebrity clothing line…eh…I’ll wait til I can actually see the clothes to make my final decision.
@Tiffany I agree with everything you said minus the part about loving the song. I love Bey but that shii was wack. I’m a Leo too but confident, not arrogant. You can still show strength & confidence w/o having your nose in the air. Idk why all of a sudden, this “I’m this ratchet, hood, street bish” persona but I’m just not buying it. Same goes for Rihanna. Ya’ll ain’t fooling nobody. Come to South Central LA & we’ll show you what “hood” is. They’d walk out like them kids on Scared Straight. Stop the press.
Brad..we love you regardless lol.
March 18, 2013 1:42 pm
As talented as Beyonce is that song is just a mess and a true example of how she wont ever be an Nina Simone as she tried to compare in her documentary. ( And she wonders why people get so consumed in her fashion and personal life) But, considering how our society hypes garbage like this, I’m sure it will be be on the charts and a staple item for most…..Wow
March 18, 2013 1:45 pm
@ Jei
preach.
ain’t nothing hood about growing up in a McMansion in the ‘burbs with ‘The Help’. lol :-D
March 18, 2013 1:46 pm
I find it so obnoxious when people throw out where they’re from as if it invocates some type of “tough man” credibility like there aren’t a million rough cities in America. Chile please. Instead of worrying about what “hood” is how about you do something uplifting? What’s next? You gonna call Beyonce to come catch your fade? *Crying*
March 18, 2013 1:49 pm
Being “hood” is a badge of honor now? Oh, my times have changed haven’t they? The song was cute, but not what I like to hear from Beyonce. It reminds of something Ciara would put out. And that’s no shade. Just not as polished as something I’d expect from Bey, but it sounds like she’s having fun. So go head girl.
March 18, 2013 1:50 pm
I don’t know why I like the song, but I do. Someone mentioned Leo arrogance, maybe that’s it, lol. But it seems like she’s addressing haters, not stans- I really like the line about not just being his little wife. It can go on the gym soundtrack:)
March 18, 2013 2:22 pm
fun song, I like it. Virgos are sometimes silently arrogant, I think this was just a little rant to let it all out. It doesnt fit her brand, but hey I know this is how those 30sum ladies feel about the up and coming girls. I can see it banging in the club.
March 18, 2013 2:34 pm
Another celeb driven clothing line? Really!!??
Mehhhhh!
March 18, 2013 2:36 pm
i’ve said it and i’ll say it again…. Queen bey gurl don’t lose your throne !! Leave dem kinda songs to rihanna! song ain’t classy at all
March 18, 2013 2:41 pm
@Mimi…sooo all you came to this post for was to try to come for somebody huh. Of course there are a zillion other rough cities..it’s not a “tough man” credibility..that’s where I’m from & it’s a lil more “hood” than the persona she’s portraying. I’ll keep it cute. Girl bye.
March 18, 2013 2:42 pm
Not mad at Angela S. for trying to grow her brand but I’ am not floored by the looks, Not feeling Beyoncé’s promo it sounds childish, I can’t see Christie on the View ( I would LOVE for Holly Robinson Peete to be on there though), and they going to leave Brad alone…lol
March 18, 2013 3:10 pm
I love beyonce’s new track! It truly represents #texastrill chopped and screwed. Reminds me of old school south music. I think so many people aren’t feeling it because she’s being cocky and it’s so different,(for her) but she has always had a bit of that attitude in her. Usually she would drop a line or two but a whole song of bragging and stunting seems to confuse people. Personally I love it and I can’t wait to hear more of this album!
March 18, 2013 3:14 pm
I wish Angela the best.. The production on Beyonce’s song is insane! Not feeling anything else. She sounds like she’s moving backwards trying to stay relevant. Hopefully a buzz snippet and not a preview if what’s to come. The one thing Beyonce is missing is a classic. *cue Anita, Celine, Whitney, Mimi, Toni..
March 18, 2013 3:14 pm
Beyonce wouldn’t bust a grape in a fruit fight! This is a promo track, not a single. I think she did this to keep people talking but it’s not a good sign of what’s to come imo. Must be a slow fashion news day, Brad Pitt’s spanx. Really?
March 18, 2013 3:16 pm
@ Lawyer_Chick
“It reminds of something Ciara would put out.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you TOTALLY nailed…and that’s what bothers me.
if this is her way of trying to ‘stay relevant’ (her own words Stannies, put down your weapons) she needs to head back to the drawing board.
what’s next…an Ashanti track next?
womp. :-(
March 18, 2013 3:16 pm
‘nailed it’
March 18, 2013 3:49 pm
I would love to see the fierce and fabulous Nene Leakes on The View!
I absolutely hate that Beyonce song but as another website pointed out Ring The Alarm was the lead single off of her album Bday and that album was still a success.
March 18, 2013 4:45 pm
beyonce song is not cool. and no it doesnt have anything about Texas Trill (houston native) so plz stfu and pull yalls head out her ass! yall make her out to be way more than what she really is.
March 18, 2013 4:54 pm
Bey has nothing to prove now, She is just having fun with her music right now. It may not be the best song ever but people need to sit down and breath.
Angela by Angela Simmons, cute video. T
March 18, 2013 5:18 pm
I am convinced that Beyonce is really a devil worshipper to think another human being should bow down to her. Is she God? And I am sick of seeing her cougar cat in every picture!
March 18, 2013 5:44 pm
I got to 19 seconds in the Beyonce song before stopping it. Not my vibe. This occasional TV watcher, would like to see Brinkley on The View as long as it doesn’t mean getting rid of Whoppi.
March 18, 2013 6:06 pm
Stans – crazy people who instead of getting a life, spend their days going from blog to blog trying to convince people by being rude and nasty that a celebrity is a mini-God. While people are jumping on each other these celebrities are making a $1000 a minute which is why they are on TV and you…..are sitting at your desk clapping back for King Bey.
March 18, 2013 6:34 pm
I also would love to see Nene Leakes in the rotation and consideration for the empty chair on The View. Has anyone else noticed how “old and wrinkly” Christie Brinkley’s hands and arm looks?
March 18, 2013 7:03 pm
I like the Beyonce song but, I’m waiting for the remix.
March 18, 2013 8:04 pm
Wonder if the First Lady will allow her daughters to listen to this filth.
March 18, 2013 8:40 pm
yet another pseudo celebrity clothing line. YAWN…
i wonder why (many) black designers when given the opportunity to employ a black model to showcase their line they hire a white model. i mean white models get practically all the modeling jobs so, if you’re in a position to put a black model on then, why not do just that? i notice asian designers do the same thing.
not use to all the cursing coming from a beyonce track. go figure.
March 18, 2013 8:56 pm
I like Beyonce’s new song lol I highly doubt that is her new single. People are offended because she spoke her mind about all those haters who keeps talking ish about her everyday.
March 18, 2013 8:59 pm
Love the song! You guys r taking it wayyyyyy too seriously. She’s obviously having fun creatively as an artist and repping her city in true htown fashion! I think she’s earned that right with this level of her career. she’s just letting the naysayers have fun! I’m from Houston so I especially appreciate the chopped and screwed sounds. We been doing that wayyyyyy before it ws mainstream! Some of ya’ll just don t get it…(shrugs shoulders)
March 18, 2013 10:31 pm
Beyonce needs Jesus…for real and so do all of you who are defending this garbage. you get offended if a man calls you out of your name but she is literally telling you to bow down to her and using a derogatory name and its ok or just in fun…are people really that stupid? the gates of hell will be wide open and shes going to be leading the pack if she doesnt change her ways…repent the time is near!
March 19, 2013 12:12 am
beyonce’ is a phenomenal performer…that being said, there is no need to TELL people to “bow down”, true power is understood.
March 19, 2013 5:08 am
hmmmm….Beyonce could motivate a stone it seems…..
March 19, 2013 5:34 am
I like angs look n have all.of those pieces in diff shades..money does equal power when you can stamp your name on something and simply say its yours
March 19, 2013 6:08 am
Rubbish song, I expect more from her. lead not follow
March 19, 2013 9:13 am
Christie Brinkley looks great! I agree with @Kory Conover – I’d like to see Nene as a host.
March 19, 2013 10:02 am
hate the song
March 19, 2013 10:25 am
I love B’s mixup, arrogant cat :)
March 19, 2013 12:39 pm
I actually like the two songs combined. they aren’t even finished and in my opinion I think she just came out with this to let you know she is coming back to snatch tracks and edges..deal. We are so used to folks talking trash about her and her family that when she finally claps back through her music folk wanna act shocked. lol the 2 snippets were fun and I doubt will make it to the album and I really like the chopped and screwed verse! bow bow !!! lol :-P
March 19, 2013 2:08 pm
@Siti “true power is understood” I could not have said it better myself!
March 19, 2013 7:43 pm
Is me or do Christie Brinkley hand looks like a man’s hand….. Lol
March 19, 2013 7:43 pm
Yea for Angela! Can’t wait until it’s in stores so we can support her.
March 20, 2013 12:36 am
The song is alright but Lord people are so simple. She isn’t telling her fans/stans to bow down..this is for the haters! The people who forever have something negative to say about her. You say she has a fake persona but when she has a real release to what she has to deal with yall act surprised and offended?? Come on now. Yall just talking things waaay to seriously and clearly hold Beyonce to the Queen status that you ridicule her stans for doing. Next.
March 20, 2013 9:52 pm
In reference to the posting by Soul Touch Christie Brinkley aged gracefully????? sorry but that woman looks like a clown face with all the plastic surgery.
March 22, 2013 11:10 am
I don’t think she actually wants you to literally bow down ..she wants respect which is understandable she established..I’m just annoyed at the fact her Stan are telling people to actually bow down like calm down she don’t know you lol…I didn’t like the song because i felt it was all over the place..but she does like to play with sound ..I think ppl are getting mad because of the standard she made for her self..lol at the Obama comment …I agree with Angela s comments
