All these looks are SPOT ON if you plan on having the following present at the party: a full-time Nanny, a party coordinator, a caterer, and a waitstaff to serve and clean after the children.. oh and don’t forget the bubble you will need to stand in to protect yourself from ketchup, punch, milk, cake frosting, snot and pee.
I’m pretty sure this is the 2nd fail post I’ve seen on this blog concerning fashion requests for children’s birthday parties. If you are going to go into this arena (particularly suggesting children’s clothing.. I’m not even going to touch that), I would suggest consulting with an actual mom or two, first.

Im not a mom, but as someone who is actively involved with two young godchildren, I will have to agree that some of these options are a bit impractical for a 1yr old birthday party. They are amazing choices for any other event (Im stealing inspiration from them asap!), but I know that it would be a hassle to run around with a toddler in a skirt or dress and worrying about kneeling or bending over.

A pants or shorts options wouldve have been nice to see. Even a fun jumpsuit with sandals.

I don’t see why all the mothers are hating on these options. I’m a preschool teacher and I have a class of 11 3 and 4 year olds all day. That doesn’t mean I can wear a skirt or nice top to work! Granted it wont be anything expensive, but all the teachers manage to look very nice without cutting back on style. And i’ve been to parties where the mommy was stylish and comfortable (maybe it’s a NYC thing). The only change I would make to this is flats instead of heels. But as always, these are just suggestions, the mom can tweak it and twerk it however.

As a mother who has gone through that stage – you will need something comfortable, there willl be a lot of bending, running, wiping of hands,food & juice spills, crying, etc. Practicality honey. Sexy time is your alone time.

Um this is not an adult party….wear something that is comfy so you can get after your baby if you need to. Girl…drop another one…you’ll get that sometimes it is practicality over the latest fashion……
