Eva Mendes was on hand at last night’s Vogue Eyewear Launch celebration. The actress, who is the face of the collection, slipped into a $4,935 Valentino Yellow and Pink Lace Dress and velvet pumps for the occasion.
Her yellow and pink lace dress features sheer inserts, a knee-length silhouette, and a scalloped trim.
Eva is such a gorgeous woman, but the pairing of the pastel colored dress with velvet pumps is a risk that unfortunately did not pay off. This is simply not my favorite look from her.

i feel crazy for liking the velvet shoes. for some reason, i feel like i know where she was trying to go. we’re just leaving winter (shoes) and entering spring(dress). I still giving her an A. I love the dress. but danitier shoes = A+.

I absolutely love this dress — I hope I can find a cheaper version of it.
Anyway, I like the velvet for the shoes, but just wish they were a lighter color to better fit the dress.

this would have been cute with some sky/pastel blue shoes. that ruby velvet slipper was inappropriate with this outfit
