On Sunday night Kim Kardashian left viewers of her E! reality show with mouths agape as they watched her be treated to a “Vampire Facial”.
In case you’re unaware, the unusual beauty treatment consists of having blood drawn from your arm, spun in a machine for the removal of platelets, and then injected into your face. If it sounds painful, that’s because it is. Kim could barely contain her screams while receiving the treatment.
However, she’s no stranger to injectables. In 2010 she allowed cameras to document her first encounter with Botox. After experiencing bruising around her eyes, she took to her blog to declare “I am not against Botox, and I would never judge anyone else for getting any kind of surgical or non surgical procedure, but I think when you’re young there are other ways you can look after your skin”
As technology continues to advance, doctors are coming up with new and innovative ways to keep us looking our best. But let’s not be naive to the fact that beauty is without doubt a booming business, with many looking to make a quick buck. More than a few of these “innovations” will come and go. Only time will tell if the vampire facial will be around in a few years.
While it certainly sounds intriguing, I’m pretty old fashioned and stick to home remedies and drugstore finds.

This is the first time a FBD post has made me physically nauseous.
I guess Kim does have amazing skin – better than mine, at least, but that seems like an extreme measure to maintain youthful skin. Thank God I have other things to rely on other than my looks. Unfortunately, if Kim gets fat, ugly, or old, she’s no longer relevant (to her world) so she better keep doing whatever she can.

That’s nasty…ain’t no way. I think people need to start accepting the aging process, regardless of how you look you are going to age and show signs of it, it is apart of life. Besides, some of the women I know who have great youthful looking skin has the most basic and simple regimen and leads a clean healthy active lifestyle.

I dont know what procedure Kim had done but it was NOT the Vampire Facial. The procedure consist of removing plasma from the red blood cells, which would mean a white substance is then injected back into the skin to give your skin a young rejuvenated look, also the red blood cells would no be in liquid form….
Anything to look dramatic is what these Kardasians are all about!

I look at a woman like Sade who is past 50 years old and looks absolutely gorgeous and natural. You don’t have to go through cosmetic procedures and barbaric treatments to look healthy. You have to eat well and take care of yourself and age naturally. I don’t understand why so many people act as if aging is an unnatural process.

@steph -To clear blemishes check out heyfranhey YouTube channel and website. She uses natural products. One of her recommendations is organic brown sugar scrub. You can also use lemon and honey to rub on your face. Goodluck with your search and hope this helps.

Seeing that the procedure was fake gives side eye but I prefer doing the natural route. I was my face with black soap, use witch hazel as toner and shea butter as a moisturizer 28 looking 17 so I will go with that over that celeb crazy crap.

I’m pretty sure this was done just for ratings; I’m not a dermatologist but basic understanding of hematology kinda discredits this procedure. It wouldn’t still be “red blood” after the procedure, but hey, I’m no doctor. I’m a fan of natural products, so I just wash my face with raw honey & use Rhassul clay for extra cleaning. Works good to me.

Keep your minds open, You cant listen to what the media says. Do your research on it. It is a very different procedure, wouldI ever do it, not likely. Do I think its worth it? No, I think most of these ladies who posted are right, there are many less painful was to get great skin. Each to their own….
As for Kim, she is such an open book and she is extremely strong to be able to do this in the public eye and still have confidence.

It seems like an unnecessary, painful procedure. Why remove blood that your skin is already privy to (from within), just to inject it back in to the very same skin. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
