Mara Brock Akil was honored at the 6th Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills. For the momentous occasion, she slipped on the same $1,820 Peter Pilotto Natalie Printed Silk Blend Mini Dress Miranda Kerr wore just last week.
While Mara paired her frock with a $1,545 Alexander McQueen Twin Skull Clutch, $995 Jimmy Choo Taste Sandals, and her amazing curly hair, Miranda opted for minimal hair and makeup and a pair of $695 Gucci Alyssa Sandals.
The now sold-out dress boasts one of Pilotto’s signature dazzling prints, short sleeves, and a leg-baring mini length.
Both ladies are beyond beautiful, but Mara gets my vote here. Her entire look is perfect from head-to-toe.

Both ladies give it something different. Mara’s accessories compliment the dress but Miranda’s height gives it that high-fashion look.

Mara’s shoes: Amen. But Miranda took this one. The cut and style of the dress appear more natural on her as apposed to Mara, who looks uncomfortable around the collar and shoulders.
