Moschino’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection is all about the details that take an ensemble to the next level: pussy bows, pearl embellishment, standout embroidery, and more. The fashion house loves to rework their signature pieces each season and they are definitely on display here from flirty skirt suits to the classic and highly-coveted logo belt. Though mostly playing on the classic color palette of black and white, there are pops of color for good measure, as well as polka dots and a graphic floral print that will capture the hearts and minds of the daintiest fans of the brand.
Rossella Jardini gives a feminine spin to the season’s suiting trend with nipped waists, peplum detailing, voluminous sleeves, and pussy bow blouses layered underneath. The brilliance of these looks is that each piece in the ensemble is strong: you can easily pick apart the suit and jacket and wear them separately while still looking completely polished.
Outerwear is a strong focus in the collection. Long furs with bow collars, quilted puffers with fur trim, three quarter-length sleeved styles in teal and tangerine: the designs run the gamut from girlish to utilitarian.
Polka dots and a graphic floral print add flair, along with eye-catching accessories from logo-emblazoned top handle bags to jeweled patent leather pumps. Mesh also makes an appearance on a blouse-bermuda short combination, the latter which Jardini uses quite frequently heralding toned gams for the season.
Moschino isn’t the strongest red carpet contender out of all of the most-loved fashion houses, but there are quite a few looks here that would be great on some of Hollywood’s finest. My favorite ensemble is a pussy bow blouse and strapless embroidered mini dress pairing that will look killer on a starlet with mile-long legs.

OOOOHHHHH! Beads, bows, dots, brocade, quilting. Amazing! I love that black and white is so on trend now. So easy to wear and we all have something in our closets already. However ….. the coolats?? Very tricky. Ususally unflattering.

The footwear is the best part of this collection and the floor length dress on the left, in the last picture and the peplum coat. Nothing here seems fresh, or innovative to me.
