Happy Birthday, First Lady Michelle Obama! To celebrate her 49th birthday, the First Lady’s office opened up a brand new Twitter account, @FLOTUS! Their second tweet read, “The First Lady just met with Inaugural citizen co-chair David Hall ahead of #MLKDay of Service: http://www.2013pic.org/service“, and featured a picture of Michelle Obama rocking what appears to be a fresh set of bangs.
There is currently no word on whether or not this is a wig, or her actual hair. With the inauguration set to take place in Washington D.C. on Monday, this would be a timely way to introduce a new ‘do.

I think she looks great. This is what gets me though, why do we care if its a wig or not? it’s hers, if it were Nancy Reagan or Laura Bush would we ask if they were wearing a wig? I think not, so why is it ok to ask if Michelle is wearing a wig, just because she’s black? y’all need to fall back and just appreciate it for what it is…a great hair style

It’s hard for our fabulous FLOTUS to go wrong. I love the bangs and I loved her hair before. I will say that the bangs add a youthful element to her look, which she wears very well!

Agree completely. The wig comment is uncalled for. Were it Hillary, Laura or Nancy…no one would suggest as so.No shade being thrown, I just think we should appreciate her new do for what it is and whether it is lace, wig- it doesnt and shouldnt matter

Love it! I love the length too. I also question the comment, “I hope it’s all natural.” I don’t understand why that matters. In fact, a lot of people opt to use extensions rather than commit to a bang because, as I know from personal experience, it’s such a nuance when you are waiting for your bangs to grow out. Permanent or temporary, it’s fun, flirty, and FLOTUS fabulous!

Personally I think that bangs with buckteeth or even just protuberant upper teeth look goofy or unflattering at best.

Please let me amend my response, I personally think that FULL THICK bangs that cover the whole forehead and are not swept to either or both sides are unflattering for anyone over the age of 6 especially if they cover the eyebrows and tend to make anyone look sort of like a sweet little hairy small breed dog.
