A wearable Versace collection with all the frills and sex appeal inherent to the brand? Yes folks, it’s possible, and it comes to fruition in the brand’s latest Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Skinny trousers, fur coats one can wear day-in and day-out, flirty LBDs: it’s all here and not one bit of the fashion house’s Italian flair is lost.
Hopefully fur is your preferred choice of outerwear! There’s is enough in this collection to dress at least ten socialites. Long, rocker chic, shaggy vests, a leather trench lined in the furry texture with a matching notched lapel collar, a few gaudy styles for Lady Gaga: if you can afford to shell out some coins, you will be very warm and very stylish simultaneously.
Versace’s take on the season’s popular suiting trend is quite interesting: burnout leopard prints with gilded shoulders, a neon lace cami juxtaposed under a quite demure brown style, and one blazer and trouser combination worn without anything underneath. Clearly, this isn’t all office-appropriate attire, but the brand’s renditions will surely be fun to try.
For die-hard fans like Khloe Kardashian and Jennifer Hudson, there are a few evening selections that might get some red carpet play. The accessories also stand a chance at being big retail hits for the season: knee-high leather boots, point-toe studded ankle strap pumps, ladylike top handle satchels, and flashy gold buckle belts.
Are you feeling Versace’s latest collection?

I’m liking this collection. Nothing mind blowing but hot.

This was a waste of my time. The collection is horrible and basic I’m sure all the video models and Nicki will be flocking to wear it though. Donatella made a big mistake letting Mr. Kane go.

There are some divine pieces here, but I tend to feel quite often with versace that they need to seriously edit (strip down) the designs and the styling sometimes.

I love the handbags. I think the looks are nice but they picked the wrong model to work the looks. I would have like to see a pear shape or someone like a Naomi, or Ajak in these looks. I think the clothes would look more becoming if placed on the right person.

Thought the wasp-waisted model was a good choice. The collection is curious though and not all wearable, as Faith suggests: when the model can’t make ankle-tucked pants look easy then there’s no hope for the rest of us

Tacky! Not here for this at all.
