Jennifer Hudson was spotted at the Lucky Shops Event in NYC, celebrating her January 2013 cover for the magazine. She looked comfy in a chunky knit sweater coat, beige sweater, black tights and black booties. She gave her look a pop of color with $695 A.L.C. Smith Leather Shorts:
Her shorts take on the popular leather trend, in red calfskin. They boast oversized pockets and pleat detailing.

I like the shorts but something that bold in color deserves a sheer blouse with a straight cut. If you have to wear stockings than why wear shorts in the first place, defeats the purpose… Instead make it a long pencil leather skirt, same color, but again with a sheer blouse. Lose the black jacket… Dulls the face and makes everything look messy.

Does she even HAVE a stylist?? Like Sunkissed said, the shorts are too tight on her thighs. They needed to be looser so as not to skew the sihouette. I’m sad for her…=-(

As a Lucky mag subscriber, i’m annoyed that she’s on the cover. She can’t dress to save her life and seems to lack the good sense to hire a stylist. I’m over giving her a chance to get it together.
