Happy Monday guys and dolls!
The first real week of December is underway and there’s a literal heat wave in NYC. Global warming is real ya’ll!
There was a generous helping of celeb style this weekend, so refresh your palates and get ready to dive in.
Check out this weekend’s most noteworthy looks:
Our President and First Lady ooze elegance and they made no exception for the Kennedy Center Honors Reception at the White House. Get your holiday sparkle from FLOTUS’s Michael Kors Resort 2013 gown!
Queen Mother Aretha Franklin gave Cleopatra tease at the Artists’ Dinner honoring recipients of the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, DC.
At UNCF’s 33rd Annual An Evening With The Stars, Tracee Ellis Ross uplifted a simple LBD with large gold hoops and $2,395 Christian Louboutin Aeronotoc Calf Hair and Lace Booties.
No more blond for Keke Palmer! The beauty went back to dark hair for the event. Loving her drop-waist dress!
Melanie Fiona went for all-black in a leather bodice number, that might be a jumpsuit or just a gown. Either way, I like it.
Representing for the gentlemen, Derek Luke combined velvet and a super skinny tie on the red carpet. A little too skinny for my taste…but he’s a cutie!
Keyshia Cole was one of the performers of the night. She went bright in a $2,800 asymmetrical “Voodoo” leather jacket by Katie Gallagher, $300 Rebecca Minkoff Studded Winston Pants, and Giuseppe Zanotti booties.
Crooner Tyrese took to the stage at the event in black and white. I would’ve liked a more fitted pant on him, but I often have trouble getting past his face.
Yolanda Adams gave menswear chic in an expertly-tailored suit.
Tatyana Ali tried on the dark lip trend for size. She paired it with a lace-sleeve sweetheart neckline LBD. She’s beautiful no?
A black and white stripe skirt and black blouse was the look of the night for Amber Riley.
Loretta Devine had the right idea in a shimmering batwing sleeve gown, but the fit was a definite hmm…Spanx can work wonders, if you let them!
More sparkle and lace…Kim Coles had a lot going on with her look (not to mention the fashion faux pas of flats on the red carpet), but she had one of my favorite hair and makeup moments of the night.
Last, but not least was Anthony Anderson who looked dapper in a velvet contrast lapel jacket. I’m loving this!
At CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute in LA, Viola Davis glowed and put everyone to shame in a form-fitting frock. Hot!
Holly Robinson Peete was snatched in lace for the night.
At The Noisettes Contact Album Launch in Mayfair, Shingai Shoniwa shined in gold. I live for her style! Head over to Marie Claire UK for more glamorous pics of the night.
Rashida Jones was also on hand at the Trevor Live event in a cobalt blue suit, printed blouse, and pink pumps.
While at AOL’s New National Commercial Open Call in NYC, June Ambrose paired a cap, statement necklace, and plaid shirt with leather pants and her favorite DSquared2 Skate Moss Boots.
Rocsi Diaz took to Instagram and posted a pic of herself and Romeo Miller in New Orleans at the Let The Kids Grow Charity Event in a D&G dress. She looks beautiful, but he could have at least gotten a haircut! Lucky he’s cute.
Last, but not least was Nicole Scherzinger who stunned in an Abed Mahfouz gown on the X-Factor UK. Hot!
Who had your favorite ensemble of the week?
