Chanel’s Spring 2013 handbag collection is all about femininity and luxurious details, in dainty and delightful silhouettes. These are not roomy, everyday pieces for schlepping around all your essentials, but instead real arm candy: designs to get you noticed and fawned over by any woman or gent who knows what real craftsmanship looks like.
From small shoulder bags from the house’s Boy line featuring Lesage embroidery inspired by Versailles to signature quilted bags in creamy hues, nothing is off limits for the season. A few runway favorites make their way it into the offerings, including the transparent PVC shoulder bag with leather trim and the cream, black, and gold checkered patent leather bag that gives a luxe spin on harlequin.
Though my hardcore party hopping days are behind me, I am a clutch fanatic and those are the styles I frequently splurge on for the nights I do go out on the town. I am obsessed with a few in the collection, especially the icy blue python box style.
