Kelley Carter by Marta McAdams for Vogue.it.
An Excerpt, “Kelley S. Carter’s Brooklyn abode presents a mish mosh of quirky, classic elements, a wild mix of high end knick knacks and unexpected elements reflective of her punchy personal style.
Inside her silver painted salon, an oversized golden wishbone sits suspended under a clear glass cloche, a blue hued bust nestles on a multifaceted mirrored table, and a wooden robot holds court alongside a gilded Baroque mirror.
Enclosed in her garde-robe, even more cheeky finds: an H&M fringed jacket, lawn green vintage Bottega Veneta heels, bedazzled black Azzedine Alaia platforms, and a plethora of patterned Thomas Sires pieces. “Every place and every outfit needs multiple elements,” she explains, “Modern, over-the-top, glamorous, traditional, organic. To me, that’s style.”
