So Baroque Flair and Ornate Embellishments are another hot fall trend! They involve incorporating either gilded baroque prints or deliciously bedazzled separates (think Balmain or Dolce & Gabbana).
This trend is definitely for the bold, so we didn’t have a ton of submissions.
Still, take a look at the Bombshells who took this look for a twirl:

Candyce of RightClickSave.com wrote, “I thought I’d join in on the fun and share how I wear the Baroque Flair/Ornate Embellishment look. I found this jacket last year in Goodwill, of all places! It’s kind of gaudy and I wasn’t sure how I’d rock it (or if folks would think I was insane for wearing it), but I decided to snag it anyway. Fortunately, it’s right on trend this year…at least I think it fits this trend. But you know what they say–if it ain’t baroque, don’t worry about it and feature me anyway :-)”

Chichi of SuppleChic.com wrote, “I am pretty sure this outfit would not fit the baroque bill but it is embellished! This is a recent thrift find and definitely one that has been on my list since I began thrifting 4 years ago. I love the sequins, the power shoulders, the fact that it was brand new, and most especially the price. I love a statement jacket cause you can use it to style up anything, for example an old pair of jeans and a tee.”

Lastly, Naisy Tiny of Afro Vaidosas seems to have a look for every trend! She was kind enough to send over her outfit–a gold embroidered jacket and matching heels.

What do you think? Whose style speaks more to you?
Next up, we have Sporty/Athletic chic! Send us your pix to thefashionbomb@gmail.com to be included in one of our last installments for this fun new section!

I really like the first look because the jacket speaks for itself it was smart to keep the rest of the outfit simple and solid.

You said “last installment…” Does that mean you aren’t doing this feature anymore?
November 19, 2012 11:01 am
@Hmmm I said one of our last installments (I missed an S). We’ve covered print on print, oxblood, baroque, leather accents, there are only so many fall trends! We’ll probably be tapering it off once we’ve showcased all the trends, then start fresh when we have new trends for Spring 2013.
I’m not gonna do 10 different posts about how people wear oxblood, I think just one post is enough. Once we’re out of trends for the season, the section can go on hiatus until it’s time to rock the latest trends again!
So if you have submissions, send ‘em now. I’ve just been updating archived posts, and will continue to update this as long as you guys send stuff my way.

What’s crazy is i know a ton of bloggers who have tried these prints would have been nice if they submitted. I never see these submissions on here.

I think the prints look cheap like knock off Versace…I guess if I see it done right it would change my mind:)

These responses are probably why you don’t get many submissions. Anyway, I love the trend but don’t feel I can pull it off. Well, I do have some black on black baroque skinny pants, if that counts.

Good idea Claire and makes sense. This is one of my favorite new installments. “Military” is also a big trend for the fall.

Naisy’s own is my favorite look. The girls all rocked it, but she took this one and made me a believer.

This trend reminds me so much of MJ, not a bad thing. And was there supposed to be a link to Claire’s outfit where she said “see my baroque look here”?
