• The fashion community is stepping up to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The CFDA and Vogue will launch their Fashion for Sandy Relief today with an online auction at Charitybuzz.com. Items up for purchase include a front-row seat at New York Fashion Week right next to Anna and the gang (à la Nicki Minaj at Carolina Hererra Spring 2012,), a stay at Diane Von Furstenberg‘s home on Harbor Island, and much more. Tory Burch is joining the CFDA and Vogue to organize a designer sale at the Metropolitan Pavilion on Friday. Peruse the wares of Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, and others for a worthy cause. • In Jesus, Take The Wheel news, according to WWD and Beth Buccini, co-owner of high-end retailer Kirna Zabête, Céline‘s fur-lined spring 2013 flat sandals or “furkenstocks” as they call them, are next season’s new it-shoe. “The furkenstocks went above and beyond my wildest imagination, I could not have loved them more. When I think back on the entire spring season across the board, that is the one item that really sticks in my head as cheeky, new, innovative and fun and comfortable.” Uh, Fashion Bombers, would you wear these? (WWD)
• How could they do this to poor Anne Hathaway? (Refinery 29)
• Parson’s School for Design is reopening its Paris location. Next fall, students will flood in to the school’s newly-renovated 45 rue Saint-Roch building, bright eyed, bushy-tailed, and ready to learn. The school also plans to open other international legs in Shanghai, Mumbai, and another location in China in the next few years. (Vogue UK)

Which season will those shoes be comfortable? The foot is out so summer, but it’s fur lined so winter? And no I wouldn’t wear those.

Those shoes area atrocious! Worse than crocs! Anyone that wears them should be punched in the throat.
Parsons is back in Paris. It makes sense for that to be open again. It IS where the Parsons table originated.

Those “furkenstocks” are hideous and so is poor Anne Hathaway’s Vogue cover. Sorry Anne, she looks a little masculine on the cover.

Those shoes are AWFUL!

The fashion industry is completely lost if they think those shoes are HAUTE.
Why Anne looking dead. They dead wrong for that. Blah

Dang, punched in the throat!? That’s gangsta. Those shoes are the worst. I’d wear crocs down the isle before I wore those. Ok I’m lying, but they’re fugly.

The more I look at the Celine “furkenstocks” the more I like them? Lol Phoebe Philo definitely took a different direction with these.
That Anne Hathaway cover is…not good. She looks old =/
I am fortunate enough to have seen that Daphne Guinness Vogue McQueen sample in person (and try on the eye shield from runway lol), and it is magnificent! I really wish LaChappelle would get more work in American mags. I know he has an over the top aesthetic, but sometimes it’s very necessary.

I agree with Sherrie. In summer the fur would make ur feet sweat in winter the open toes would make ur feet cold. I wouldn’t even wear these in the house. But since there is a designer label some celeb is going to snatch them up.

Wow….what’s up with her eyes (Anne) They are so slanted.
