Happy Monday everyone!
A wintry chill has touched down on the Big Apple and though most of the city is back to normal, we are definitely keeping those still trying to piece back their lives together after Sandy in our prayers. There is much to be excited about for this week though: it’s almost Election Day!
The stars hardly ever take a break and they definitely stepped out this weekend for award shows and galas.
Let’s get into this week’s hottest looks shall we?
After hitting the red carpet in Mugler, Rita Ora changed into a McQ by Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 dress at the 2012 Mobo Awards in Liverpool. Super cute!
Songstress Misha B went for full on glamour at the awards in a long-sleeve sequin gown with a sheer plunging v-neckline.
Simplicity was the look for Emeli Sandé who wore mostly neutrals except for a pop of the season’s hottest shade: oxblood.
Also on hand at the 2012 Mobo Awards were Chilli and T-Boz who received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. Guess they dug in the crates for their looks from Waterfalls?
It seems that embellishment was the trend for the weekend because Naomie Harris opted for it in a copper beaded dress from Nicholas Oakwell Couture, especially made for the Bond beauty. Hot!
Kim Kardashian went for head-to-toe leather in Miami, given some flash with her favorite Balmain belt. I’m on the fence with this one, what do you think?
You know Eva Mendes gives vintage Hollywood glamour like no other! She was spotted on the red carpet for the Holy Motors premiere in LA in a lace dress from Dolce & Gabbana and a Sergio Rossi clutch.
Who is going to be the first to figure out how to combine Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart’s names? They seem to be attached at the hip and they looked winter-ready while out and about in Copenhagen.
Along with Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie, Mindy Kaling was in attendance at the Baby2Baby Gala in a beautiful MaxMara gown. Yes Mindy!
The Mayans must be right about 2012 because Victoria Beckham was spotted wearing flats while at Universal City with her family. For their day out, she wore a colorblock shift dress from you guessed it, her own Victoria Beckham Spring 2012 collection.
Holly Robinson Peete tried on the contrast stripe trend for size at the Spike TV’s Eddie Murphy “One Night Only” event in Beverly Hills.
Also at the Eddie Murphy event was Anika Noni Rose who wore a black sequin gown, cinched with an obi belt.
More embellishment! Vivica A. Fox wore it at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in NYC. This dress has a lot going on doesn’t it?
Mrs. NeNe Leakes also looked very rich at the gala in a fur collar sheath. I hope you all tuned into Real Housewives of Atlanta last night, it is going to be a crazy season!
Penelope Cruz took a page from the KimYe style handbook and wore a leather trench dress at the Rome photocall for Venuto Al Mondo.
Rounding out the week was Nicole Scherzinger who mixed a vampy lip with an updo and tulle.
