Solange Knowles continues to live the glamorous life, as she snagged a DJ gig in Mexico for H&M Sante Fe’s grand opening. For the evening she naturally slipped into a couple of pieces from the brand, including a $60 Yellow Silk Printed Blouse and $70 Jersey Pencil Skirt. She then added her favorite Fendi Colorblock Grosgrain Sandals for good measure.
Her silk blouse features box pleats in the front and back, and concealed buttons in the front.
Her pencil skirt is made from thicker jersey, and boasts bead embellishments at the front.
I am in love with this look from head to toe. I want!
H&M doesn’t have online commerce, though you can get a closer look at her shirt here, and her skirt here.

What do you think? Hot! or Hmm…?

*She also recently released her print-tastic album artwork:

Work it Solo!

Loves that Solange wears her shoes multiple times on the red carpet. I would see her wear shoes from 3 years ago and turn it out. Most celebs wouldnt dare wear a shoe thats not “in season”.

Solo needs some kind of
Fashion award because she is always high fashion and can make any outfit her own.

I love the mixed print look. I just always feel silly when I try it myself, but it looks great on others if done right.

I love how Solange is channeling the 70s and African prints. She’s a standout from her sister and there is no need to compete. She’s definitely in her own lane. The wig isn’t working for me but she got the look right!

She shows you that style doesn’t mean expensive. I love it.

Ugh why when I see stuff in H&M my imagination can’t come up with outfits like this. Then I gotta go copying others lol. She looks fabbbb.

She has branched away and made a name for herself. I love it!

So nobody will point out this is too Tracee Ellis Ross-ish?
November 2, 2012 1:30 pm
Suri, now that you point out, I see it. Don’t see it as a bad thing though. Solange has always looked like a “Ross” to me & Tracee’s fab and has said she loves Solange’s style. Win all around if you ask me.
