This week has been super intense with Hurricane Sandy, but the storm has subsided and we can get back to business! Hoping all your loved ones are safe–I was stranded down in the A, but I’m heading back to the Empire State tonight!
But first, Mail Bombs.
Farrah writes, “Eva Marcille KILLED IT on her way to eat at BOA in West Hollywood!”
“I would like to know the details about her fringe purse and the jacket.”
Killed it? If you say so! I had a bit of trouble finding her look, so hit up her stylist EJ King, who wrote, “The jacket was actually designed by myself and my partner Seannita Parmer. And the bag was a Vintage McQueen if I’m not mistaken.” There you have it! If you want a custom jacket, e-mail EJ and Seannita at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Nikki types, “I would love it if you or anyone from your team could help me figure out what sweatshirt Ciara is wearing in her awesome video “You Got Me Good”.”
” The link is below and the item makes its appearance at 2:07.”
As discussed in this episode of Fashion Bomb TV, Ciara is a muse to Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, so it’s no surprise she’s wearing the brand’s Spring 2013 menswear sweatshirt in her latest video:
Cici’s got that Givenchy hook up, as the piece isn’t available to purchase as yet. Keep an eye peeled here for availability.
Jiffnesia says, “Any idea where I can find these boots and the shirt?”
“… They’re so cute!”
Ashanti rocked $795 R13 Leather Chap jeans with a pair of uber popular $1,895 Equestria boots by Christian Louboutin:
Reader Annie tipped us off to the tea on her shirt, saying Ashanti copped it at a website called www.simplyintricatenyc.com. I couldn’t find Ashanti’s top, though they have plenty of gold splashed pieces:
Russh types, “I was looking for a dress similar to Kim’s blue dress from the Angel ball.”
” Can you please help me find it?”
Even a lower priced version of Kim’s red carpet Balmain dress is a splurge! The closest I could find to KK’s long sleeved blue gown was this $1,134 draped number by Issa:
Sometimes you have to spend major coins to look like Kim. If you’re up for it, get the dress from My-Wardrobe.com.
In another blue bomb, Anais writes, “I was recently looking through Teyana Taylor’s pictures on Instagram and I came across this jacket.”
“... I’ve seen it once before and have yet to know who made it. It would be a big help if you we’re able to address this concern. Thank you.”
It looks like Teyana posed for Instagram in this Trapstar Blue Motorcycle Jacket (previously spied on Angela Simmons):
The jacket has suede quilted patches on the shoulder, though it seems Angela’s has a few more spikes (hard to tell, though, as Teyana’s hair is covering the shoulders on hers). At any rate, the pieces are custom made, so contact the people over at Trapstar if you’d like to order one of your own!
In a wardrobe query, Sherly says, “I’m going to be attending a black tie event and I’m searching for a plunging neckline dress. Where can I find one?”
Try these on for size:
I’m rushing to pack, so will leave you with the following Unsolved Mail Bombs!
Kenyetta writes, “Help me find this dress that Mrs Nunn is wearing its HOTTT!! PLEASE.”
Ashley types, “I know you only do mail bombs with celebrities attached to the pix, but please can you or any of your readers can tell me where I can purchase this earrings the model is wearing Future’s video-Turn on the Lights?”
Lastly, Mya says, “ I saw “The Conversation with Amanda deCadenet” on vimeo and Zoe Saldana was wearing these eyeglasses I’ve never seen her in before. Apparently this show was on Lifetime this summer but I missed so I know I’m pushing the whole timeline issue mentioned in your Mail Bombs 101 post. I have searched a ridiculous number of eyeglass websites and everything I’ve found to date is not quite this pair. I even reached out to Zoe on Twitter (don’t judge me : p ) but I haven’t heard a thing yet. This 4-eyed woman is in desperate need of chic glasses, please help!”
Not sure, though Zoe is in a new Lenscrafters campaign…maybe start there?
If you guys have more insight, leave a comment.
I’m off to pack up my carry on and get back to the hustle and bustle of NYC.
Until next week…
