The minute Chrisette Michele’s new (gorgeous) promotional pictures hit the web for her new song Charades, we were deluged with requests for her shades!!
Lola wrote, “I love these sunglasses and I am looking to invest in a pair. It would be great if you could assist me in finding these.” Nashea typed, “I’m in love with these frames and I’m not having any luck finding them or anything like them anywhere on my go to sites. Please help!”
Lamirica chimed in from London, saying, “I’m in love with these shades that Chrisette is rocking. Who are they by? Where can I get them or a look for less?”
Well, the team went to searching, and even our collective efforts came up short! So I contacted Chrisette herself, who was happy to offer some insight! She wrote, “I purchased my “Ted Lapidus Paris” vintage shades at a vintage shade shop in Amsterdam during a trip thru Europe looking for Audrey Hepburn fashion inspiration.”
If they sound like a one-of-a-kind find, they are! Even scouring Google, I could only find the following Ted Lapidus Paris shades. Close, but not quite the same:
I couldn’t even find Chrisette’s color on the web. Besides, they’re all sold out!

This woman has one of the most beautiful faces in the show business. Her facial features are so perfect. Her beauty is very underrated in my opinion (her choices of hair and clothes are a big distraction though)

she lost weight? she looks fab tho! the pic w/ the red frames on looks like her brows are orange..which is funny because just today, I was imagining myself with turquoise eyebrows and hair w/ hot pink contact lens. lol… I guess I shouldn’t have been daydreamin’ at work…although that’s what work is for. Anyway, i soooooooo heart those shades! but if i was a music artist like Chrissy, I would dye my hair and brows a dark turquoise…I’m just sayin’! (i’m black btw)

Chrisette looks great! I always thought she was so pretty but shaped weird, but now that shes lost a few pounds she looks great from head to toe. Her face and smile are Gorg! And her lashes are always on point. The glasses r too trendy for me to spend over $200 on them, jmho

@ Suri – agree 100%. Chrisette is gorgeous but I think she chooses to deliberately downplay with her outfits so that people pay more attention to her talent – however in these times, her “look” is equally as important as her vocal talent.
