With each season, Opening Ceremony becomes more and more popular, from its coveted collaborations to its slew of die-hard celebrity fans (Rihanna and Solange Knowles being two of the most noteworthy). For Spring 2013, the brand continued its quirky and sweet sensibility, but added a dash of the bad girl aesthetic with cutout detailing, form-fitting silhouettes, and bare skin wherever possible, all modeled by Marihenny Rivera.
Cutout detailing added edge to a cold shoulder blouse and mini skirt, while cool pastels played on everything from the brand’s OC LA bag in baby blue to retro-inspired sunglasses. Cutouts really were the detail du jour, showing up everywhere from full skirt dresses to collared blouses for a sexy way to look polished for the season.
That quintessential OC quirk and whimsy came in the form of ankle-length culottes, gingham, white socks peeking over boots and sneakers: giving a girly and playful vibe to the offerings.
It will only be a matter of months before Rihanna and Solange are wearing some of these pieces! I can definitely see Rih in the collection’s flirty dresses and cropped tops and Solo in the jackets and vests. I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on a few of them, in all honesty.
What do you think?

I love every single piece. Give me all of it. If I have to prioritize, give me everything with the shoulder cut outs first.
