Chilly Fall temperatures have touched down here in New York City, so I am holding onto the warmth and vibrant shades of the Spring 2013 collections for dear life! Project Runway alum Korto Momolu has just released her offerings for the season, chock full of brights, wearable silhouettes, and watercolor prints.
The collection is all about functionality: flirty, office and play-appropriate frocks in mustard yellow, watercolor printed blouses perfect for layering under blazers or to wear alone, and classic colorblocking that reads as “timeless” instead of “on-trend”. Simple dresses were made fun and sensual with embellished sleeves and seamed waists for the ultimate in figure-accentuating.
Dresses weren’t the only silhouette on the menu: there were also a fair share of trousers, including one impossibly adorable colorblock jumpsuit.
Momolu didn’t present much in the way of red carpet-ready designs, but a few of the gowns and a strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline could certainly work for a movie premiere with the right accessories.
What do you think?
