I’ve been drooling over Fendi Baguette bags since the early days of Sex and the City, and now the accoutrement is fêting its 15th anniversary! To celebrate, Monsieur Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi have launched an internet pop-up shop, giving us all a chance to drool over the wares and make a splurge if our bank accounts can handle it. From exclusive striped styles to vintage patchwork designs, there’s a lot to covet.
Metallic fringe detailing with fur and sequin trim, denim floral, gold leather: if there is a combination that you can think of, then this collection has it. The designs span from Spring 2000 to now: almost back to the time when the Baguette first launched. As a New Yorker, I am partial to roomy totes to hold all of my essentials, but I can’t deny how beautiful these bags are. If you are a handbag collector, you need at least one in your arsenal!
That’s not all for the pop-up store: there’s also an exclusive t-shirt with a sketch personally crafted by Karl Lagerfeld, printed scarf, a linen bag, bracelets, key holders, and the brand’s book commemorating the Baguette, in both Italian and English text.
