Show Review: Versace Spring 2013
By Faith

Versace is practically synonymous with glam, from the brand’s voluminous bombshell hair shown on the runway season after season to its crystal-embellished lucite wedges. Donatella Versace herself literally embodies the glitz that has become inherent to the fashion house and she is never off: you will never see her in sweats and she most likely sleeps in sequins. Surprisingly for Spring, the brand strayed a bit from the norm and took its woman to the desert with relaxed hair, minimal makeup, and lace. Of course, she would be stomping the sands in knee-high gladiator pumps with tons of skin exposed: what would a Versace collection be without a little sensuality?

Black lace played sexily on mini dresses and skinnies, showing skin in a clever way, while crop tops and thigh-baring shorts continued the skin trend in looks that were equals parts boudoir and bombshell.

Color did burst through in neons, watercolor prints, and tie-dye, adding a hippie chic vibe to the collection.

Want to see what Jada Pinkett Smith, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and others will be wearing on the red carpet in the coming months? Well then just check out the showstopping gowns and cocktail dresses.

Last, but not least were the accessories. From woven shoulder bags to retro-inspired sunglasses, I can already hear “It” girls and celebrities clamoring over the designs.

What do you think?

    Wow! Blew my socks off.

And this is off topic and I hate to beat a dead horse but these models would be so much prettier facially with a few extra pounds. That is all.

Back to the issue at hand- Brava Versace.
