While many collections for Spring 2013 have been betting on black and white, Gucci splashed onto the scene with searing hot pinks, cobalt blues, citrus yellows, and salmons, attaching ruffles to chic pant suits and layering glittering jewels over keyhole dresses.
Pegged for the aristocratic jetsetter, Frida Giannini offered smart tunics decorated with feathery motifs, belted trenches, and glamorous gowns. Simple strappy sandals in red, white, black, turquoise, and blue anchored most ensembles.
Snow leopard and snake found their way onto trenches tinged with citron and bold pinks.
Frida truly turned it out as well with her jewelry pieces. Statement necklaces and chandelier earrings boasting large jewels uplifted many a look.
As for handbags, the Spring 2013 forecast includes bright yellow clutches, minaudiers, and small handbags, all finished with the signature Gucci horsebit.
I could see Solange in any of the collection’s yellow or animal print pieces; J. Lo would work the stuff out of the finale white dress, finished with ruffled sleeves.
