When dressing for a christening, think longer hems, higher necklines, and nothing too fitted.

I wish this had come out earlier. I know someone who showed up to a Christening in jean shorts. We all gave them a strong side eye and prayed they had some good sense.
But if the person is going to a come as you are church, then they can wear anything
