• Jennifer Eymere, the French magazine editor who slapped PR rep Lynn Tesoro at the Zac Posen show on Sunday might be regretting her behavior this morning. Tesoro is slapping Eymere back with a $1 million lawsuit citing “assault, battery, emotional distress, slander and/or libel,” as the basis for the suit. Eymere famously told WWD the smack would teach Tesoro not to “f**k with French people.” I guess Eymere’s learning not to f**k with Americans! In this country, we sue! (NYDN)
• The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute has announced the subject of next year’s exhibition. The museum will pay tribute to the Punk Rock movement with an exhibition titled, “Punk: Chaos to Couture” next May. The installation will run from May 9th to August 11th, and feature pieces from designers like Gianni Versace, Alexander McQueen, Rodarte, and more. The Institute will fête the opening of the exhibit with the Met Gala on May 6th. (Vogue UK)

I don’t understand why it’s so crazy that you can be sued for slapping someone. You can be arrested and charged with a crime for it, too. It’s called a battery. You can’t put your hands on people and expect to get away with it. You invade my personal space and cause an unwanted harmful or offensive contact, hell yea I’m calling the police and I’ma wait til the cops show up and say “Yes, arrest that hoe.” Suing really only makes sense if the alleged perpetrator has money, otherwise it would be a waste of your time and resources. But if someone slapped me and they were loaded? Yup, you’re getting sued.

Honey in the go ol USofA you dont put your hands on people that is assult and we dont play that she better be luck she didnt get beat down because people are very high strung during fashion week! And Ms. Banks hair is never LAID it is always a MESS but she is cute as a button.

i’m glad she’s suing. getting tired of people feeling entitled. she had no business putting her hands on that woman because there weren’t enough seats at the fashion show for her & her party & she didn’t like the way the publicist was “talking” to her mom? gtfohwtbs! i bet ya she’ll think twice before slapping anyone else & especially in front of witnesses.
