Tory Burch has become a household name in a matter of years. From her signature must-have flats, to her classic American designs, you can count on her to bring you comfort with stylish ease. For her Spring 2013 offering, Burch stayed true to this aesthetic.
Makeup was scant, while the hair was parted in the center, and finished with loose, flowing fishtail braids. The designer took to her Twitter account to reveal that the inspiration for the collection was an “American prep remix meets magpie traveler.” The models made their way down the runway to the sounds of Manu Chao’s Bong Bong, wearing pencil skirts and full skirts, all boasting longer hemlines. The shorts and sweaters were uplifted with a modern twist; ideal for the stylish gal or working woman on the go.

There were a few numbers boasting a wheat print, particularly a short suit paired with white tasseled loafers.
Another swoon worthy moment occurred when a couple of tie-dye pieces were revealed. They were vivid, yet refined, and beautifully executed.

I am always inspired by Tory Burch’s eclectic designs. Her wheat printed short suit has Solange’s name written all over it. Truth be told, I can see her in many of these pieces. I’d also love to see First Lady Michelle Obama in the chartreuse dress modeled by Joan Smalls.
What do you think of Tory Burch’s Spring 2013 collection?
