We were hit with a couple of inquiries on what to wear to the first Made in America Festival.
First Madison writes, “Hey Fashion Bomb team! I am at a loss as to What to wear for the 1st day of the Made in America Budweiser Festival on Saturday. It seems like it’s going to be a Spring Weekend-esque concert so I want to wear comfortable shoes in case my toes happen to be trampled over by beer-chugging concert goers lol; However, I may run into a guy I’m interested in as well as the Creole Queen of Class, Beyonce. Should I happen to see this guy and or possibly score a picture with Beyonce *fingers crossed* I want to look like a bag of money, naturally lol. Can you please help me find the right balance of comfort and glam?” Ramona also chimed in saying, “I’m going to be in Philly for Jay-Z’s “Made in America” concert weekend and in Philly for a few days after. What should I wear for this mini-vacation? I have graphic tee-shirts in mind, but I would like some ideas to look cute and show off my NYC style ;)”
Since this is the first time this festival is being thrown, we won’t be able to exactly pinpoint what the fashion atmosphere is like just yet. However, it’s pretty safe to assume that the scene will be rife with personal style mixed with hints of hip-hop influences (keeping in mind the festival’s curator, Jay-Z).
Claire kicked off the first look, saying, “If you want to look like a bag of money, I’ve got you covered! Look on trend yet concert ready in a Balenciaga printed t-shirt accented by studded jean shorts.”

“Stay comfortable yet fashion forward in a pair of gold Isabel Marant Hi-Top Sneakers. Accent your look with hip hop inspired pieces like Cazal glasses and chunky gold jewelry.”
Claire and I were thinking along the same length with graphic tees and studded shorts, as I plucked this “Our Mother Naomi” t-shirt from House of Ladosha. The tee is not only fly, it’s also a steal at $25.
What would a summer festival be without a pair of studded cutoff shorts? I’m digging the way this pair complements the Fallon Gold Double Chain Necklace. After seeing this pair of Miu Miu sunglasses on a few celebs, it’s become a winner in my book. Keep your feet comfy in a pair of trusty Converses, and get a pop of color with a red crossbody bag.
Whether it be a maxi dress or skirt, one thing is for certain, they offer comfort and style. This River Island Gold Maxi Skirt comes complete with a black studded belt, and says summer festival ease.
I also wanted to include a black crop top that will add a dash of sexy without making your look appear forced. Take it up a notch with a violet bag, and a bright mani. Finish your look with a pair of aviator shades, and you’re good to go!
I would love to see how you ladies interpreted this style inspiration! If you’re brave enough, send us pictures!

I can’t find a pair of sneaker wedges as perfect as those Isabelle Marant :(
All the rest looks too pointy, too flashy, too sporty, too luxe or just plain ugly.

I like the last one the best. But number 1 and 2 should be called “How to dress like Rihanna.” I mean they aren’t two dissimilar.. and a red lip and a chunky gold necklace for both looks? There are other stylish women beside Rihanna, guys! Just saying.
