Melanie Fiona took to Instagram yesterday to debut a new two toned blond style.
Known for her enviable ebony tresses, the Grammy award singer “Had a blond moment” at the salon, then headed to an Estelle performance at the Darby later on in the night.
I personally thought her hair was gorgeous before, but I understand the need for artists to change up their looks to keep things interesting.
At any rate, what do you think of the switch?

I love it. I recently dyed a few of my front locs blonde (I recently cut 10 inches off), although it turned out more auburn/gold lol and I love it. Gives me some dimension. Been growing my locs for 12yrs, never tried any colour.
Enough about me….lol I think it looks nice on her, fun.

I hate it & hope those are clip-in pieces. I don’t get the fascination with blonde hair for people like her & Amerie who have gorgeous heads of hair then do nut s*** like this for attention.

I think her hair was too dark before; it’s a nice pop of color without going overboard.

She still won’t sell. Doesn’t have the personality, stage presence and even chooses boring songs. Too bad though because she has a great voice.

I have the MF Life on repeat … amazing album. But Melanie this is a no go for me, maybe a darker blonde would be more complimentary?

Melanie will always be gorg, but I wish the blonde was mixed in with her a hair a little more or darker. It’s too bright against the black, but oh well nothing wrong with changing it up a little.

I think it’s edgy and a good contrast against her dark hair. What the heck, it’s only color, she can change it back or pick another color when she feels like another change. Change is good. She just has to be careful not to damage her beautiful hair in the process though. She’s beautiful anyway and the girl has some pipeeees.

I think her hair is kinda cute and edgy and good (does that make sense?) But I have to say, Instagram has the power to make very much look bad. I actually didn’t like the hair before I had seen the other pictures non-instagrammed.
