• Rachel Zoe‘s expanding her empire, adding jewelry to her already successful Ready-to-Wear line.

Drawing inspiration from the ’60s, ’70s, and art deco scene, Zoe brings us a collection of 14-karat gold-plated baubles uplifted with gems, colored quartz, enamel, and chain links. Prices range from $195 to $650. Look for Zoe’s jewelry at 42 Neiman Marcus stores and online at their website. (Racked)
• Here’s Prada‘s Fall 2012 campaign video, featuring two models playing chess on an unmarked table. I dunno, it must have made sense to Muccia. (Prada Youtube)
• Check out Azealia Banks in this behind the scenes look at her music video for ‘Liquorice,’ which she describes as “a celebration of the beauty, intelligence, and influence of black women in western culture.” Or, as I like to call it, an embellished, glamorized account of my life. (HungerTV)
• According to WWD, Katie Holmes‘s brand, Holmes & Yang, will make its fashion week debut Saturday, September 8th at 9pm. (WWD)
• Not only does Whitney Port want us to pay for her clothes, but she also wants us to come out of our pockets so she might show during New York Fashion Week. Port’s started a “crowd funding campaign” to raise $50,000 so her design team’s creations for Whitney Eve can take a turn down the runway next month. In a viral video, the reality star pleads with fans to fund her endeavor. Whitney herself is worth $3.5 million, and her line is supported by (surprise!) her very wealthy father, so it’s strange to me why she has to ask us poors for cash. So far, she’s raised $2,661. If you want to help a rich girl out, you can here. (Telegraph)

The Prada add was cool, in a weird sorta way but I liked it! After all isn’t fashion supposed to be a break from the norm & being typical?

LOL @ “us poors.” Yes, it doesn’t make sense that she’s asking for money for Fashion Week. Perhaps it’s not your time to shine, young babe. So I should donate and buy your overly priced clothes that still lack credibility? Oh Whitney. I love you so.

Think the models (that are not playing) are the chess pieces.

Whitney is ridiculous. Her father is wealthy and she has money. No monetary support from me. I’m a poor student. lol

I am so extremely proud of her!! She is being creative to fund her business. I would encourage you to read “The Millionaire Next Door”. She could easily have her father fund her business but apparently her father expect her to work and build her business. I actually married well and my husband family has the same attitude. If he put his daughter on the mountain how is she expected to maintain if she didn’t climb the mountain herself!! Way to go Whitney !!!!

No disrespect but the attitude that she should turn to her father, is the mindset and attitude of the poor. If she could ask her father why don’t she, because she doesn’t have to, she can work instead of waiting for the hand out. Why do you the Trump children are so business savvy. Even the Kardashian’s came for meager wealth created their own empire.

So she should resort to begging? That’s not really working hard. Set up a lemonade stand, get a paper route, or sell somethings on ebay. That’s more inspirational than begging…
