Susy says, “Hey Ladies of Fashion Bomb daily! Major question…lol I’m dying to know what I should wear for this up coming black and white boat ride. I have NEVER been on a boat before and honestly worried about what heels I should wear not knowing if the deck could be slippery or other weird weather conditions. The last thing I need is to fall on my face! Also, I bought a pair of Christian Louboutin Duvette pumps in black and really wanted to finally wear them. You don’t have to include them if you don’t want, but it would be nice to see an option.”
Alright! Theme parties are always so much fun, as you can truly go wild with creativity. I think your Duvette pumps would work nicely with any outfit, but I also played around with other pump options. Whatever you choose, just bring a pair of flats or flip flops in case your feet start hurting at the end of the night. That said…!
Look one kicks off with a $795 black and white M Missoni knitted dress, uplifted by a black and white Jason Wu clutch. The dress and clutch adhere to the theme enough, so play it cool with black heels (with a reasonable height), black and silver jewelry, and a ravishing red lip:
If $795 is out of your budget, this funky $288 McQ by Alexander McQueen X-Ray print cap sleeve jersey dress is a more affordable option. I decided to go for an edgier look with spiked ZiGiny Women’s Nevada Wedges and an Alexander McQueen clutch:
Complete the look with diamond studs, red nails, and a spritz of Balmain perfume:
Of course at these types of events, you always have the option to rock with either black or white. Slip on a $68 studded peplum dress with gold accents to pick up on the gold in your pumps, then continue the theme with black and gold jewelry:
Stand apart from the crowd with a statement Chanel bag, and finish your look with wine colored gloss:
As for what to wear on a boat heel wise…I think you can just wear what’s comfortable. And if anything, you can look fly sitting down!
What do you think? Which look speaks to you?
