they copied off Death Row back in the 90′s. they won’t be able to touch that good music back then. and new religion, please, this has a demonic feel to it to me. and speaking of fashion, it isn’t giving me anything, but eerie, is that Mos Def, i can’t believe he is on there?

They didn’t actually pose in cross formation (although that would be hilarious to witness). This cover was put together by art directors, and graphic artists. Granted ‘ye probably had to sign off on the concept, but let’s be careful about where credit (or blame) is placed.

That being said, I was a huge ‘ye fan, but there’s something about his newest endeavors that rub me the wrong way.

Funny, these photos reminded me Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” video more than the Death Row Vibe cover. And I like the direction these labels are going with the whole “crew” thing. It reminds me how hip hop was back in the day. Being an MC in a crew was more so common than being a solo artist. YMCMB, MMG, G.O.O.D., even Bad Boy are all doing it. I like the unity.

I’m so confused right now… I am a fan of lots of different styles of rap don’t get me wrong, I listen to commercialized rap, but in moderation considering my setting and mood. This is because “commercialized rap” is all about being drunk/high, loose women, and material things.

So Im trying to figure out, regardless of Kanye’s beats, what will 2Chaniz and Q-tip talk about on a song together? Or Big Sean and Common… the caliber and content of the rap isn’t the same…

Lastly, was it just me, or did it seem like they were tying to convince us along with themselves that this would be a great project?

In G.O.O.D we trust? lol no. I personally find it tasteless as well.

Now to why it may have a “dark” feeling, It may be because of the photos are inspired by Gothic art. Gothic art was used scare the people in Europe to believe in Jesus. Maybe that what they want from us. Now as to the blurry/streaky photos, I have no idea (maybe to make them look like spirits?) I personally just find them distracting.

@Brooke.. Exactly! I don’t see what Common has in common with any of them, but Q-tip. I thought he was a “conscious” rapper. It seems thrown together in the studio. I’m just tired of the money schemes that’s all.. Nothing is genuine now days.

If you knew more than “commercialized” rap you’d be able to point out more than the MCs who’ve had commercial success. Cy-Hi the Prince, Pusha T, D’banj, Mr. Hudson (all photographed) have been around for years and had huge critical success on their owns. Oh but all yall see is 2 Chainz & Q-Tip because they’re recognizable. Mind you, before you bad mouth 2 Chainz he’s also been a staple in the underground for years. Just because you heard a few songs on the radio don’t get it confuse. LAST, since when does being on the same label mean you have to be on a song together? 2 Chainz & Common might not ever be on a song. smh everybody wants to be a critic, but don’t even have the knowledge to judge accurately.

They don’t even hide anything anymore. Teyana and that left eye. Kanye (pic 2) showing is channelled by “entities”. The 3rd pic is a blatant ode to masonery with the pilars and the guy in the middle doing the masonic chest hand symbol…oh well, they are some types of prophets for “him” so more power, money and fame! I don’t really think anybody bad mouthed any of these rappers; but more so, we are just giving an opinion. When artists are on the same label, they do tend to do A LOT of features together. I think that was most ppl’s initial thought. Especially since both “conscious and commercial rappers” are shown in the video together, it looks as if they will be supporting one another’s content… right… or else why would you want to be on a label such as this? That’s why I said clearly “That I was confused”.

Also @MiMi, simply calm yourself. I have heard of the other artist pictured, but was referring to some of the artists featured in the video interview. Not the portrait. Thanks for clearing this up for some who may not have known though.

AND lastly let me just say this, I don’t really care to familiarize myself with every single rapper. What is it that they have they done for me?? uuhh oh thats right, nothing. Nobody should be upset about comments on here. lol. If you like G.O.O.D. music then great! Say that you like it, and stop piggy backing off of our thoughts. Say why you think the collaboration will be awesome and keep it moving. STFU with the subliminals.

@Mimi Do even remember why 50 Cent and Soulja Boy was on the cover in the first place? They interviewed them together (if u like, I’ll remind you why) so they had alot to do with one another… As for the freshman rappers cover, thats just showcase new rappers trying to make a name for themselves so they have something in common, all trying to make a name for themselves…THIS cover above is actually about a label coming out with compilation CD…. Like when Murder Inc did it, as well as Roc-a-Fella, as well as Bad Boy ANNNDDD YMCMB !! And guess what? Alllll those artist were on songs with each other… So yes Common may do a song with Big Sean or CyHi Da Prynce (not prince) may do a song with 2 Chainz …. CyHi da Prynce has not had critical success of his own (although I wish he did, he’s really good) people don’t even know he’s been had 3 mixtapes out sadly before his new one… SO him, D’banj, and Mr. Hudson he’s the white guy for all you guys who may not be familiar he’s the singer on Hov’s Forever Young song… These guys do not have commercial success yet. So please Mimi don’t bash people on here because you got a couple things wrong yourself. I know about hip-hop just as much as you do, maybe a little more… But what I will agree with you on is Cruel Summer is gonna be crazy

This has nothing to do with the illuminati, for all we know it doesn’t exist. However, what is very relevant is their blatant disrespect for the Christian religion. Blasphemy, continual comparisons to Christ, denouncing his power. We can’t speak on what we don’t know, but we can be oberservant to what is shown to us. You nod your head to the beat, and quote every song word-for-word, but what are you really saying?

Rick Ross: God Forgives I Don’t

JayZ: “Jesus can’t save you life starts when the church ends.”

Kane West: “Jesus died or us, but I couldn’t tell you who the side was.”

Meek Millz: “I don’t even believe in God.”

It’s not just between them and God. You listen, you repeat it, you’re involved.
