I managed to sniff around and found out I will be attending a Broadway play with family and the next day a boat ride with the beau! I’ve been into the crop top trend (short sleeves) maxi skirts and wide leg (relaxing) pants…but of course anything you guys put together would be great!”
Hey, Kitty! Three cheers for us Cancers! So it’s your birthday, and naturally you want to cute. Take a look at some of the options Claire and I were able to come up with.
For look 1, Claire says, “Happy birthday, girl! If you love maxi skirts, get it popping with this trendy $80 mint dip hem skirt by Topshop, along with a white tank from Splendid.”
“Have fun on your special day with a fabulous pair of shoes, like these cobalt blue suede Manchu sandals Nicholas Kirkwood. Show your cancer love with a zodiac necklace, and set it all off with a neon pedicure and a flourish a Vanilla Birthday Cake gloss.”
Next, I would strictly recommend this look for the boat ride with your boo. The printed crop top tackles two of the hottest trends at the moment (I know you prefer the crop tops with sleeves, so I’ve included a couple other options in the widget).
I paired it with this gorgeous peach dip hem skirt that I will be gifting to myself. I kept the shoe simple, offered up this pair from Steve Madden. Throw this black chain clutch over your shoulder, apply an Essie mani, cat eye shades, and enjoy the ride.
This look can work for either the Broadway play or the boat ride. The animal print of the dress is softened by its lilac color, and is beautiful for the summer.
Just in case it gets a little chilly in the theatre, I wanted to include this Oyster Boyfriend Blazer. I kept the Sam Edelman heels and Asos clutch a neutral color, to ensure cohesiveness. Wear this simple House of Harlow Horseshoe Necklace, and apply the eyeshadow to a smoky effect.
Lastly, because you’ve expressed a love for wide leg pants, I thought it would be great to include this blue jumpsuit, and at $35, you can’t go wrong.
The red Steve Madden ankle strap shoe perfectly complement the jumpsuit. I then added in a pair of stud earrings, oversized sunglasses, and black clutch. A white manicure would look fresh and classic. I could see this looking perfect with a bun for the play or loose beach waves for the boat ride.

Cute and affordable options…today is my Birthday (hello and Happy Birthday to all my fellow Cancers) and I am most def going to be choosing something similar to look #’s 1 and 4 for dinner with the siblings and their significant others and a weekend date with my hubbie!!!
