I may be in the minority but I don’t like this dress on Kim. It’s a cute dress but ruffles don’t work for her. The body language between her and Kanye is hilarious. Yeah, this relationship’s real..side eye. And, the…eh, more mature lady modeling for American Apparel, it would be greatly appreciated if she posed a different way. Greatly appreciated.

No one likes to see an elderly woman expressing her sexuality/ taking “sexy and promiscuous” pictures,
but Ima just let all yall know, that when u reach her age your sex drive and/or want to be seen as attractive/sexual/etc. will not just all of a sudden disappear.

@Meeks: please indicate where and how exactly I didn’t “stick to the fashions” in this post? This entire post is about fashion! If you want news presented with absolutely no editorializing, maybe you should stop reading fashion blogs altogether? Because everybody does it.
Having a VOICE is kind of encouraged (I would know since I wrote the linked Fashionista post about Kimye????). It’s something you learn when you work in the industry.
Women’s Wear Daily is a good resource if you want no commentary at all. Hope that helps.

@Jihan….I have noticed that you are a bit sensitive when being critiqued. Telling us that K&K were late to a fashion show was not sticking to the fashion. Advising us what they were wearing while showing up late may have hit the mark a little closer. Especialy since most of the comments (which you did not respond or comment to) were inquiring about Kim K’s dress. Only commenting because I have seen before where you respond to a reader in a sort of ‘get off the site if you don’t like how a write- neck rolling’ response which is not professionally cool sis! I was a bit offended by your response to Meeks in that it came off as abrasive and confronting. She does have a right to her option as well and should not be suggested to go to another site just because she did not like your article. Your article alone does not speak for the content of FBD nor should you. And this is my opinion because I love this site!

@ Jihan… Telling us that K&K were late was not about fashion but telling us what they were wearing may have been closer to the mark. Especially since most of the comments (of which you chose not to respond or comment to) where about Kim’s dress. You are a bit sensitive about criticism on your articles as I have seen previously. Try taking it graciously and not in a ‘you don’t have to be on this site – neck rolling’ response to patrons of this site. Just like your article does not speak for the entire content of FBD, neither should you by suggesting someone not view this site any longer. I love this site and was offended by your comment and lack of professionalism.

@ Jihan…How about taking criticism a little more graciously and respond to the fashion inquiries about Kim’s dress. Not cool advising a patron of your site to ‘go somewhere else’ because they commented on your article. As a ‘journalist/blogger’ you should have a thicker skin and be more professional.

In Jihan’s defense with the Kimye story/commentary: this is a News breakdown.
So unlike other posts that may tell you what someone is wearing, or ask you if you like it or not, these types of posts are dedicated to telling you what may be going on in the fashion world. Since we’re an urban site, telling you what’s going on with Kanye and Kim in regards to a couture show is newsworthy. A blog is supposed to have an opinion, and Jihan has one.
Regarding the design of Kim’s dress….we’re getting to it. But we also don’t want to overrun this site with posts about Kimye (believe it or not). Keep an eye peeled for it in this Week in Chic or in Mail Bombs.

Ugggh, I wish some of you would stop being so damn sensitive. This is nothing different than I have seen in The fashion Bomb New Breakdown or the “This week in Chic” segments. It’s not that serious and I don’t think Jihan did anything “wrong”. Hell, if the Meeks (or anyone else) don’t like it, then they can find a blog that suits their tastes.

What I find particularly amusing is why people feel they have the right to tell someone else how to run their BLOG. If you feel your opinions are that important, you should really create your own fashion site the way you see fit.
