The fashion glitterati invaded the West Village last night to attend Anna Wintour‘s fundraiser for Barack Obama‘s re-election campaign at the private home of co-host Sarah Jessica Parker. The guest list boasted notables like Michael Kors, top model Chanel Iman, and of course, Solange Knowles. The DJ showed up in a satin white skirt suit, uplifted by a pair of $895 Giuseppe Zanotti Metal Plate T-Strap wedges.
Her leather sandals (shown here in a black colorway) feature a metal overlay on the ankle cuff and across the top of the foot. The zip back securely fastens her into the pricey wedges, which have a 3″ covered heel.

These sandals are clearly hot! We’re used to seeing Solange in textured prints and bright colors, and these metallic shoes breathe life into her monochromatic look. I love it. Ms. Knowles’s dinner partner, Chanel Iman, on the other hand, is boring me with her outfit. Would a little statement jewelry have killed her?

that Solange looks boring and could have used a little colour in her outfit – something about the fabric she’s wearing reminds me of pyjamas & dressing gowns. everybody else looked fantastic. when did chanel get tittays?

Chanel has color, earrings, bracelet, clutch and what appears to be a knuckle ring (could be a tatto or something else though). Meanwhile Solange has no color and only a clutch (no additional accessories). Yet, Chanel is boring you. This site…sigh! Jihan you get a side eye! I think it’s the other way around. Not feeling this look on Solange. Actually like Chanel’s much better!
