• The “very rich” NeNe Leakes might soon become the “very, very rich” NeNe Leakes. The reality star is in talks with licensing company Beanstalk, negotiating a deal to put her name on their clothing. That’s right. A NeNe Leakes clothing line is in the works. President and CEO of Beanstalk, Michael Stone sounds excited about this collaboration: “While the fame of reality television characters is often short-lived and fleeting, NeNe Leakes has displayed versatility that has enabled her to transition from being a Real Housewives personality to a featured television star on Glee. NeNe’s multi-faceted personality and aspirational style will translate well into products that will emotionally connect with her fans.” Mmmk. Will you be wearing Nene couture? (The YBF)
• People talked to celebrity manicurist, Kimmie Kyees, who has lacquered stars like Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry. The nail artist also gives Rihanna her trademark talons, which might look long, but don’t get in the way of the pop singer’s obsessive Instagramming. Says Kyees, “[Rihanna] loves her long nails. She does the iPhone test — if she can still type then [they're] OK.” (People)
• The folks at H&M know how psyched we all are about their upcoming Maison Martin Margiela collaboration. The retailer has released two videos featuring sneak peek sketches– one for men’s and one for women’s– of what’s to come this fall. Peep the women’s sketch above. (gardiopguru Youtube)
• Moda’Operandi, the fashion torture device designer trunk show website we all love to browse, just received a hefty sum of $36 million from investors like LVMH and Condé Nast. But what are they going to do with the money? Co-founder Aslaug Magnusdottir told Fashionista the site will be offering a more traditional, in-season buying e-commerce experience this fall. That means, you’ll be able to buy pieces from designers’s current collections, as opposed to the pre-sale model the site runs on (and will continue to) now. (Fashionista)
• Topshop has tapped JW Anderson for a capsule collection, due out this fall. Along with clothing, the range will offer home wares like vintage magazines, pencils, and Rubik’s cubes– because who doesn’t want to pay too much for relics from the ’80s? (Vogue UK)

Nene Leakes? I’m not moved by her “fashion sense” especially since she pronounces designers incorrectly. Is this going to be a line of coveralls?

Go NeNe! if Carlos Santana can have a shoe line and Jessica Simpson’s brand (clothes and shoes) can flourish, I do’t see why this is such a bad idea!
