• Watch Rebecca Minkoff and Leandra Medine (aka The Man Repeller) ready themselves for the CFDA awards by filming a video spoof of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s ‘Call Me Maybe’. This video confirms my suspicions: I’m the only person who doesn’t like this song. (The Fashion Fiend)
• Christian Louboutin has lost yet another red sole lawsuit, this time against fast fashion knockoffer retailer, Zara. Back in 2011, Louboutin filed a lawsuit against the brand for selling a pair of red-soled shoes that resembled their “Yoyo” shoe. Zara fired back with an appeal, saying that the terms of Louboutin’s red-sole trademark were too vague, and they were therefore justified in producing the shoe. A French court has ruled in favor of Zara, saying there is no way that consumers would confuse the Zara pair for a set of real Loubies. Does this mean every store and their momma will now be producing red-soled shoes? Is this the end of Louboutin’s iconic sole? (Grazia)

• Jennifer Lopez has been wearing a lot of Zuhair Murad as of late, and she has no intention of stopping. The Beirut-based desinger has been tapped to outfit Ms. Lopez for her summer tour, which kicks off in South America on June 15. What do you think of this look? (WWD)

VERY excited about H&M and Margiela! Praying for all those who will have to box for a piece…..

I’m really excited about Margiela and H&M, that should be good! I hope this doesn’t mean Zara is going to come out with a series of red soled shoes—that’s just wrong. Losing against YSL is one thing, but Zara who knocks off everything in sight?

ugh! It must be annoying for CL after working hard at his designs ‘everyone and their mama’ is gonna be rocking CL look-a-likes! I mean its great for people like me who can’t afford CLs (though Zara isnt exactly cheap, saw a leather jacket for 100 n smn pounds wtf?) but still what’s next? Hermes? Chanel?

they already have many red sole shoes for sale at barefeet

I hope it’s the end of Louboutin’s red sole. They shouldn’t be able to block anyone from having red soled shoes.

He should change his branding now…..I think what Zara’s did was tacky. Let the man make his iconic trademark. They knew what they were doing in the first place…and their lack of creativity is shameless.

Jihan, you are not alone in your dislike of that song… I truly don’t get the hype.

My friends and I make it a ritual to camp out for select H&M collabs. Good food, booze and a sleeping bag.

“Imitation isn’t always the sincerest form of flatter!” But he have a lot of celebrities who are loyal to wearing The real thing so he shouldn’t even stress over it!

I’ll be first in line to purchase red soled shoes from Zara! Negative.
Whatever happened to creativity? Zara’s creative team should leave red bottoms alone and do what they are paid to do which is not hack off another artist’s mark.
These heels will always be CL knock-offs, and if you’re going to purchase knockoffs, why spend over $20 for them?!
Any self-respecting fashion lover would not be caught wearing those knockoffs. Feel free to disagree … but then we know where you stand.
Looking forward to seeing what CL will do next, since he’s a true artist paving the way for these copy cats.
Sorry for the rant, but it’s bigger than CL and Zara, I’m just so over these “fashion” companies ripping off ideas from artists.
