Summertime is nearly here, and now that the sun is out past 4:30, you need to be properly prepared. It’s about that time to up your sunglass game, so you can stunt at cookouts, outdoor concerts, and rooftop fêtes all season long.
Here are 5 sunglass shapes to keep in mind when you’re shopping:
Cat Eye
Cat Eye glasses were über popular back in the ’50s, and they’ve made a strong comeback in the 20-teens. This shape is easy to wear, and looks good on almost any face (including my incredibly round one). Try these options on for size:
Round
Round sunnies (I know some of you hate that word but hey, I gotta use different terms so as not to be repetitive) are another throwback making a comeback. The frames once associated with toking, guitar-strumming hippies have returned as the it-shape for ultra cool femmes. As you well know, Beyoncé loves her Linda Farrow x The Row shades, and Nicole Richie is another fan of the shape. This sort of silhouette looks best on heart shaped and oval faces. Square
Angular sunglasses are a good look if you’ve got a round face. Keyshia Cole looked fab in these Karen Walker square sunnies, but if this particular pair doesn’t do it for you, there are plenty of styles to choose from:

I think Rihanna was wearing the Prada Baroque’s in that pic. Anywho, I really like how this post included budget friendly suggestions and not so budget friendly ones. My favorite shape for sunglasses are wayfarers…followed closely behind by cat-eye! :)

I guess I’m a vintage girl then because all I wear are aviators and wayfarers. I wish I could rock the cat eye and I’ve never seen anybody look good in a round pair of sunglasses.

I would looooove to wear round sunglasses, they would look perfect with my clothingstyle, but unfortunatly i’ve got a complex on my round face. I wish i could do a workout just for my face, because the rest of my body is quite fine to me. I’ll have to do it with good ol’ Raybans or square sunglasses.

I think there should be a whole category for fly sunglasses that Amber Rose has worn. She takes the crown for unique but extremely flattering sunglasses.
