Colorblocking will be big for Resort 2013. If you have any doubts, just ask Alexa Adams and Flora Gill of Ohne Titel. For the brand’s latest collection modeled by Cora Emmanuel, the design duo strayed away from the exclusively dark color palette of their Fall 2012 collection and breathed life into their airy separates and dresses, fully equipped with two-tone coloring, varied stripes, and so much more.
Their Autumn woman was tough, sporting architecturally-inspired pieces, but this go round the Ohne Titel consumer is all about fluidity and ease. The brand really took a turn with this collection, shedding their downtown chic looks for a femininity and girlishness previously seen in their Spring 2012 collection and which will surely gain them a whole new legion of fans.
Functionality was of prime importance with a slew of dresses, skirts, trousers, and knits that could be worn everywhere from in the office to on the red carpet.
Of course the brand could not totally depart from their signature aesthetic and leather pieces were thrown in for good measure, capturing that part of the Ohne Titel woman that will always have an edge.
Ohne Titel is a brand that purposely aims to fly under the radar, but that might be quite difficult with a collection such as this one. It all looks so wearable and adaptable to a number of styles that they are sure to have many hits on their hands with these pieces. My favorite styles are the colorblock panel dresses and the array of skirts, as well as the two-tone leather jacket which is a must-have for my closet. Here’s to hoping Kerry Washington and Gabrielle Union try out these ensembles in the coming months as they are right in line with their style.
