*Our Internship Contest Has Begun! Intern 1 will be blogging all day today. She kicks the contest off with a Style Inspiration on What to Wear on the 4th of July! Enjoy!*
Latoya writes, “I am currently finishing up my tour in Germany and in order to go out with a BIG bang I will be taking a week long trip to Italy to visit Venice, Rome, Florence, and Pisa. The 4th of July also happens to fall on the last day of my trip. Could you please give me some ideal outfit choices that are both stylish and comfortable since I will spend the duration of my trip exploring? Love love love your blog!!! Thanks in advance:)”
Congrats on finishing your tour, Latoya! While comfort is certainly the name of the game while partaking in tourist activities, your style does not need to be compromised. Here are some outfit ideas that will allow you to be patriotic, fashionable, and feel perfectly at ease all at the same time.
When I think of summertime comfort dressing the maxi dress is always the first thing that comes to mind. It’s really easy to throw on, and with a tied halter this dress has a hint of glam. The cat eye adds to the femininity of the look, while the clutch gives it an Independence Day jolt. The sandals are minimal, lightweight, and perfectly compliment the slight toughness of the earrings and watch. Also can’t forget your trusty red lip!
Next up is a blue and white crop top coupled with a pair of red high waist pants. Both are effortlessly chic and very flattering. This pair of cat eye sunnies are more subtle than the one in the previous look, adding to this laid back vibe.
The stacked gold bangle along with the bold lip adds a hint of drama. The white tote and thong sandals keep the look fresh.
Here I went for a street style edge. July is also widely known for being the hottest month of the year and naturally I figured it is the perfect opportunity to flaunt your undoubtedly gorgeous gams.
This pair of faded denim cut off shorts will do them justice. The white tee keeps the look clean, while the blue converses add a bit of pop. Wearing a gold chunky link necklace with a pair of round frame sunglasses immediately elevates the cool factor. But never forget that keeping that face beat is a must. Use a wet brush to apply the eyeshadow for a smoky metallic eye. Finally, throw on a super convenient cross body bag and you’re good to go!
I hope these ‘fits are something along the lines of what you’re looking for! Enjoy Italy and take lots of pics, as I will sit here longing for the day I can make my trek over there!
