• GenArt’s recently established global department just took a trip to Nairobi, Kenya in search of fresh new designers to nurture into worldwide fame. The trip included a fashion show showcasing the work of up-and-comers Bella MATATA, Adele Dejak, Nike Kondakis, Katungulu Mwendwa, Lalesso, Modahnik, and Aryam Designs. Two of these designers will be chosen to come to New York and show in the GenArt Fresh Faces show this September for New York Fashion Week. It’s great to see the powers-that-be in fashion throw support behind these black designers. It’s high time African talent carved a space for itself in this industry! (Fashionista)

A little bit too much blingy plastic in the H&M lookbook for my taste but I must have those pink (or black) classic pumps. I love their shape and i’m on a quite TIGHT budget !
