• The Telegraph has a peek at a few of the items Daphne Guinness is auctioning off from her personal wardrobe including a pair of heelless shoes by Japanese designer Noritaka Tatehana, a frothy black Lanvin frock, a strapless bubble dress from Christian Lacroix, and sculpted silver minidress by Alexander McQueen. Prices will start at a modest $479, and could go as high as $30,000. (Telegraph)
• The ever-adorable Selena Gomez is (surprise!) planning to release a fragrance. A mock-up of what the bottle will look like has been released, and it is strange to say the least. The bottle mimics the shape of a flowing gown, while the top is decorated with metallic lips. And what sort of perfume resides in such an ostentatious bottle? One with “top notes of orange, pineapple, peach, and raspberry; a heart of purple freesia, Cosmone musk, and dewberry, and a drydown of amber, vanilla, chocolate, and coconut.” So many sweet scents? Sounds more like a Victoria’s Secret body spray than an actual perfume. Catch it mid-May in Macy’s stores. (Styleite)
• H&M‘s latest conscious collection is finally in stores. Every year the Swedish retailer does a collection using organic materials, and while this year’s offerings are a little underwhelming, there are a few flirty floral blouses and skirts that would be welcome additions to any spring wardrobe. • Miu Miu gets me every season with their stellar shoe offerings, and this time is no exception. Their summer sandals are decorated with sparkly undersea creatures– a major trend this season. The shoes are admittedly pricey– $695 is a lot for some flat sandals! But those blingin’, blangin’ seahorses might just cloud my judgement, and have me reaching for my credit card. • Madonna appeared at Macy’s Herald Square last night to promote her new fragrance, Truth or Dare. The fragrance will be sold exclusively at Macy’s, and has been in stores since March 26th, but will make its worldwide debut in May landing in stores in the Middle East, Asia, The U.K. and France.
