UK brand Loud Culture (which we wrote about here and here), recently sent over images from their Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Continuing with their Afro-cosmopolitan creations, designers Ashley-Rae Tapping and Abi Fashesin offer brighter colors, high hems, bustiers, and cool cut outs:

I’m living for the patterned blazers and cute cocktails (they’d be perfect for spring weddings, no?).

Thankfully pieces are super affordable, starting at £15 (approx $24) and topping off at £95 (approx $152).
What do you think?

The models are super cute, I like the collection but to me there is nothing special to write about
All they did was to make clothes ( European cut/shape) and used african inspired fabric.

But, in the same time i could ask a couturier (is that the right word? A “clothes-maker”.) to make this for me and maybe i’d even pay less… But i must say, this is original and i love everything.

April 2, 2012 7:21 pm
Before Boxing Kitten…. If your of African descent. You would have lived and grown up with Ankara prints and kente clothes. It is good to see designers such as Loud who are from the motherland and incorporating african fashions into everyday wear and at reasonable price points..
And I give them a round of applause! Africa Stand Up!!
