I wasn’t a fan at first, but after really giving her music a listen my mind has changed. I’m glad she’s getting her image together. People will eat their words soon!

I’ve only seen this girl in 3 posts up here, and I’m sick of her already, smh. Something about her just doesn’t sit right with me….Maybe it’s because the first picture I ever saw her in, she was wearing a big (illuminati) pyramid on her dress, mismatched colors, and some crazy hair.
And speaking of crazy hair, those wigs are atrocious….NEXT!!!

For real what a mess! Why? I don’t hate her but I wanted to see something that would blow my mind. The wig is kiling me also. Fashion magazines have to do better in the hair department when it comes to styling black women’ s hair. Like hiring someone that can indeed do black hair.

@bella I see reading isn’t your strong point. Like I said she’s “GETTING her image together.” Her look is slowly evolving. How often do we see artist go from being unpolished to starlets once they get the right team behind them. Give her time, she’s young & talented I think she’ll get there.

I’m just so distracted from her behavior via twitter. I can’t really get with these girls who feel the need to bash others in order to get attention. I for the life of me can’t understand how she sent someone a DM about their hair, and them being broke and then she wears weaves thats don’t always look nice. There isn’t style here, and her outfits have been a miss for me. I’m kinda over the artist just coming off as rude/nasty.
I’m not understanding this style bible…

Kelly Rowland’s and J Hud’s wigs are just as atrocious and they don’t get as much shade as this child. Oh and let’s not forget Trina & Nicki Minaj goodness! There a tons of terrible wigs in Hollyweird. This reminds me of the song “Video Killed the Radio Star.” she has potential, but folks won’t let her live based off of the visual.

This is a style BLOG. That is what you do on blogs…you comment on what you see, and it’s all in good fun (for the most part). If we weren’t meant to talk about the pictures/posts, there would be no comment box.
But in this chicks case, she is direct messaging people, which is almost like a personal attack. And that is not classy, nor cute.
Guess her fashion sense and attitude go hand in hand.

Nice try but try again. This is a style blog. Thus, people are required to give OPINIONS on style. What this Azelada or whatever her damn name is does on twitter is grossly ignorant, degrading and frankly plain stupid. She spends her time hurling offensive slurs, picking fights, attacking transgendered people etc etc. Like, she is doing the most. You have one viral video on youtube sweetheart, keep your ego in check. If is this the new marketing strategy for new artists now? be offensive to create “buzz” for your yet untitled project? lawd ham mercy on these kids.

@Elle its GQ’s style bible… For men. The ladies they feature are not the focal point for any style guidelines. She’s a pretty piece of eye candy to break up the ads. The article on her wasn’t half bad either.

People are too harsh….. I agree with you Siyam. But I would like to also add I do not see anything wrong with her hair or the way this photo shoot was styled. It was for GQ magazine for goodness sakes. She is not on the red carpet!

@Lola or Shelly, which ever one you want to be, you obviously get your information from the wrong sources. Her one viral video has her performing for the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and being scouted by industry heavy weights such as Kanye West, so whatever she’s doing is working. And if twitter is any way to judge an artist shall I run off a list of celebrities who have tweeted ignorant, racist, sexist, and plain out rude things to fans? Like stop it. The women on the blog bash her for much deeper underlying reasons that I won’t even get into.

They could’ve gotten this girl a quality wig for the shoot at least. There’s nothing super “stylish” about this shoot though. I’m not sure what GQ was going for with this.

Honestly this is the best i seen her look, she isn’t an ugly girl she looks like Teanna(sp?) Taylor a bit so hopefully her style will evolve as her name continues to be put out there

I never even heard of this girl’s music or been on her twitter. The firs time I’ve heard of her was looking at her posts up here… And apparently, from reading the other posts, I’m not the only one who doesn’t care too much about her.

I like this girl I dont know what she posted on twitter except to get at the white girl for being disrespectful to black people by referring to herself as a “slave master” smh it sux that other black women would rather bash her than support her and they will be the first ones blasting the “slave master’s” music smh any way A Banks music is dope her wig is awful but thats not enough to bash her, she needs new styling and some PR coaching and she could be really big cause from the music I have heard she is super talented
