Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey added a dash of feminine whimsy to the houses’s traditional outerwear offerings for Fall 2012, updating resolutely British outerwear with oversized pockets, ruffle details, animal motifs, and ruched belts replete with bows.
Lush velvet, faux fur, tough tweed, and cute corduroy also made appearances, trimming trenches, dotting cropped bombers, or popping up on collars. Velvet and tweed skirts with large ruffles anchored tailored blazers and owl printed tees.
Platform lace up booties will undoubtedly find their way into the wardrobes of Burberry’s fervent fans, as will the brand’s chic leather gloves, which were showcased in yellow, saddle, moss green, and black, dusted with studs.
I would rock the stuff out of any of the hip length jackets, and slip on a driver’s cap to complete any look. I definitely expect to see those studded gloves on a Hollywood starlet (or ahem, me) very soon.

I have always love Burberry. Their pieces are timeless, and Bailey still manage to make a few additions to keep with trend but still make it classic. This collection is perfect!

This collection is sickening, its really innovative without looking too forced. I would rob a bank just so I could have every single piece in my closet!

I kept my eyes pealed to the twitter feed; the released an animated gif of each look as they sent it down the runway. I absolutely love this collection and its a great transition from the spring narrative. The continuity is there. I absolutely love the jackets. Peplum hems galore, I def have inspiration for the future!
