• Apparently, New York Fashion Week was the most diverse it’s been in several years. While (duh) the vast majority of models who walked were white (clocking in at 79.9%), Asian models represented the largest minority group (8.8%), with black models coming in at a close second (8.0%). I’m sure the fashion world is patting itself on the back, but I’m keeping my hands to myself for now. Out of the 4,561 opportunities to use a model, designers chose to use a white model 3,641 times, opting for models of color only 920 times. (Jezebel)

• Architectural shoe company United Nude has teamed up with Dutch designer Mattijs van Bergen to create yet another pair of seriously fab shoes. It always amazes me that many designers say that there are limited models of color yet there are always tons of girls running around trying to get a career in the industry. …smh, but congrats to the lovely ladies that found work this go round.

The “model” on Kanye’s lap is British singer Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine. She often looks uncomfortable because it’s part of her image – the reluctant starlet. But she sure can sing!
I love Vivenne Westwood – she never shies away from saying what she believes.
Also, send Kanye to my door ASAP. I love the man.
