Leave all previous notions of Winter Wear at the door: Tracy Reese’s Fall was bright, bold and optimistic. None of the neutrals or bulky layers applied here. This was a collection full of rich jewel tones, short flirty hemlines and loads of texture and embellishment from jacquard to sequins. Though eye-catching, the designs were attainable and functional: key requirements for the wardrobe of any stylish woman on the go. She is indeed who Reese designs for season after season.
Accessories were a main focus in the collection with models rocking futuristic sunglasses, wool jockey caps (a little Givenchy-esque in nature), roomy satchels in gold and olive and colorblocked peep-toe wedges (paired with tights for Winter of course).
Colorblocking and mixed prints? Oh yes, the Tracy Reese woman is carrying over those Spring trends into Fall, showing that the brand’s collections can be worn year-round.
Not to be forgotten were the party-perfect dresses which Reese is known for. From navy with an asymmetric hem to purple with The First Lady’s name written all over it, there were a plethora to choose from.
Though not a quintessentially Fall collection, I really liked these offerings from Tracy Reese. There are certain brands that I go to for minimalist and this has never been one of them. I was drawn to the bold hues and interesting blends of textures. Tracy Reese isn’t ever afraid to break out from trends and create a look that is all her own–that’s why I admire her collections season after season. My favorite pieces were the bold fur-trimmed coats, and I’m looking forward to getting my hands on those when Fall 2012 rolls around.
Are you feeling Tracy Reese’s latest?

These fall collections so far have been painfully drab in the color department. Of course, gratuitous fur accents slightly make up for that, but I am so glad Tracy brought the color, because I was crying and dying a little bit inside. The only colors people were using are like oranges, reds, and yellows, and honestly, a little aquamarine never hurt anyone when the leaves start to turn. This is one of my favs I’ve seen.
