Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are known for their supremely saucy dresses, and didn’t disappoint for Fall 2012. Their latest collection oozed sporty sensuality, and was filled to the brim with skin clinging shifts in unforgiving tech jersey, replete with zipper details and chic peaks of skin.

Close fit cocktails with shoulder, side, and back cut outs were fashioned for the super svelte, with pencil silhouettes that hugged the hips. Black and cream hues prevailed, along with instances inky navy, emerald green, and brilliant blue.

Knee length hems balanced out the sexiness of exposed shoulder blades and tight fits, and rendered the collection palatable for the bold professional. A blue ruched sheath would play well under a blazer for a day at the office, then shine on its own for drinks at night.

For some reason this collection reminds me of the dresses on Asos (tons of body-con dresses with cut-outs) except the hemline is more conservative and of course better fabrics. She mastered the exposed zipper too, normally I don’t like them.

loved the cuts and the sleek look of these dresses. the cutouts and the zipper detail gave them an original look. These runway samples weren’t fitting so great– they were riding up around the hips… sure needed more stretch–hope that will be remedied in production. Meanwhile I had a great time sitting next to Claire on the front row at the show!

I’m a fan and I can see J.Lo in every one of these dresses.

I’m a designer and normally I don’t critique other designers harshly….especially since they’re showing during fashion week and I can barely get a collection funded…but these looks are mediocre…like I was expecting more. I do like the fact that it’s wearable but other than that I feel lke I could find these looks anywhere and why spend more than I have to :-/
